Hi...

Many of you may know me as the guy that wants to play PR, but doesnt have the PC to do so, and also that doesnt have the money to buy a PC...

Well, again i tell you that my max budget is of 500 EUROS, not dollars...

With that said, can you help me (once again) finding a good laptop that is avaible in Portugal, that can run PR smoothly?

I dont want places where they MOUNT your laptop/desktop according to your specifications request.

Also, if you find one that can run ArmA II with PR, let me know...

so you dont want to create your own system? so you want to buy a stock laptop? which is available in portugal?
then i cant help you, the only one that could help would be someone living in portugla with a good laptop... but i think any laptop for 500? is good enough for PR

PR ArmA or BF2?

Finding a laptop for E500 to run BF2 PR shouldn't be that difficult. Just go to a computing shop and say I want a laptop that can run this game. BF2 is pretty dated now along with it's graphics. Now ArmAII on the other hand is a completely different kettle o' fish

You should be able to build a decent desktop PC for that money that can run BF2 R very nice and ARMA somewhat fine on lower/mid settings. But laptop...I don't recommend this for ARMA with low budget you might get disappointed with it.

Build a desktop, you can get a pretty effin good one for 500euros

i got a 1000e laptop.... it is nice. U should get one too IMO

back on topic:

you should just go to a shop and ask, but keep in mind the minimum requirements need for ARMA 2 (BF2 is old) so focus on ARMA 2 and from then start looking for better things.

graphics for 150
monitor 100-150
HDD 50
PSU and case 100?
6GB RAM 50

u get i7 for 1000e with 8gb ddr3 and some cool stuff

Desktop would be better, obviously, but I don't know what supply/availability is like in Portugal. What kind of a PC do you have now? If it's a desktop, you could use the current HDD/OS/Optical drive and just revamp everything else pretty nicely for 500. Of course, if it's a laptop, you could still build a nice (enough) system. Mine was 590, and that's US dollars - not euros.

I have a 400 euro laptop that plays PR fine on the highest settings. I got it a while ago, and if you look around a bit finding a better one for the same money shouldn't be impossible.
It has an i3 processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 512MB graphics card and 4 gigs of ram.

Mobility graphics won't be good enough for ARMA2, the standard HDD is also too slow at 5400RPM.

I know that getting a desktop PC would be the best, but for my personal use, desktop wouldnt be that good...

But i already have a desktop, and it should run BF2 with PR fine, but my graphics card plus Windows VISTA are just ridiculus, so i was thinking maybe getting a new graphics card, plus Windows 7...

Would that be a better choice than buying a new laptop?

Also, i know that its better and cheaper to BUILD a laptop, but i dont trust very much on this method, but im considering that...

And im open for donations, if you want to send those 250 euros , afterall, its Christmas...
