Welcome to the forums!

As for calling airstrikes, you need two players, I believe. PRSP simply means 'Project Reality Single Player'. It used to be a seperate mod, but now it's part of PR - it simply means playing against bots.

Papitenhelo, thanks, will try it out.

Limeni[BiH], I did, but it didnt mention that its not possible to use it in co-op.

Spec, thanks, you mean that I'd have to be commander and sl at once? If I get it right, air strike is requested by SL and then forwarded to CO, which approves it, yes? Commander can't call it by himself?

Well, there's two kinds of airstrikes. The JDAM strike (alternatively, artillery in some maps) or simply 'area attack'. That one is requested by the SL and approved by the CO, indeed.

Then there's direct airstrikes, requested by an SL (by marking a target with a laser and telling the pilot where to attack, with a marker or simply by talking to him) and performed by a player in a bomber. Wasn't sure which type you meant, but both require two players.

If you play locally alone on your PC ( PRSP ) you cant call area attack or airstrikes, because there is nobody else with you to answer those. Same for UAV - UAV is not available in PRSP or COOP game modes.
You can join online COOP server and try it out there, but as its being told you need one more friend ( player ) with you to take commander place for you to be able to call area attack ( airstrike or artillery - deppends on map setup ). To do this press Q look in direction where you want to call it and select AREA attack and click. Commander opens his map, right clicks to icon and selects APPROVE or DENY. After about 30 seconds it will hit.
For airstrikes, you need to have GLTD ( goggles in SL and sniper kit ) look toward target trough them and place laser mark on target. Optionally you can set a mark on map so everyone can see it, by selection distance to target and call in type of strike that you need ( Cannon, Missile, Bomb ). Then you need a pilot to assault this target with appropriate type of ammunition. Fighter jets can do Bomb strike and Cannon strike, Bomber jets can do any kind, Gunships can do all except bomb strikes.

As for the UAV, you need to be a commander, open your map, right click on place you want to view with the UAV, and select deploy UAV from the menu. The UAV also needs to be ready (the bar in the upper left of your map is full).

After some time, about 3 minutes, there will show a message "UAV is ready". Then you need to find the command tent in your mian base and enter it. You will then see through your UAV's eyes.

Hope this helped you, and all of this can be found in the manual.

I know that Militia and Hamas have it in the Combat Engineer kit, which you have to request from a supply crate/depot or APC. Probably the same for Taliban.

In the Insurgents' case I think it depends on the map, but I know it appears in the main base sometimes. Don't know about caches, but so far I haven't seen an arty-IED kit show up there.

Area attack needs SL and CO, SL needs officer kit.
CAS in helo or jet map need Sniper kit or officer kit. All you have to do is Lase the target, mark it on the map, then wait for fireworks! All above are written on Mannual. Pay a few time on it would be helpful.

UAV require you to be CO and operate it in UAV tent(tent with desk and laptop), you can lase targets for CAS sq or lase enemy inf unit for enemy's CAS sq(If opponent's CAS team really want to kill something, this tactic will always work). It's not armed, but very useful especially in INS map.

Always, practicing PR with friends can be helpful.
Sorry for my broken English, Hope it will helpful mate!

On what Insurgent map have you seen the arty? I searched around and couldnt find it on Karbala, as well as Al Basrah. Maybe it spawns in some specific place?

You mean in co-op? Normally, when I play online (Al Basrah map if im not mistaken), arty-ied lays in front of the mosque (stall like stands) as well as RPGs, SVDs etc. But when I played co-op, I never saw it.

2. PRSP is i believe project reality single player. you basically play with bots.
3. you need to be commander and you get inside the commanders office (an APC with a hut around it) you must be officer, and you press the enter key and left click and the uav spawns and you move it around with the lmb. i think.

Afaik there is no UAV on PRSP ( local play )

To deploy UAV you must join multiplayer game ( deployment ) and apply for commander. Once you are one, you must open your map ( caps lock ) right click on it and choose UAV.
Once UAV is deployed it will notify you on screen, and then you take officer kit, and enter commander position ( Like you said APC with hut infront )
