Now that the warping in Arma2 has been fixed, will some of you take a second look at PR ARMA2? Do you think with the old BF2 engine the future of PR is in ARMA or something else?

You also forgot to mention the fact that the game runs MUCH smoother. I run Arma 2 on max settings and got around 30-50fps, with the new update my FPS have doubled.

Still terrible soldier animation though... Takes away alot of immersion.

I recently got A:CO and tried PR:A2, having not dealt with previous version I noticed none of the notorious warping issues I have read/heard about. The issue is there is only 20-40 players on one server at any given time, makes for quite a small and rather uneventful game all things considered.

I believe in time, with content coming our way at some point, interest in PR will pick up.

Yep, not noticable at all anymore. Looks great, really playable for me even with my shitty computer and lowest settings.

Hmm, how shitty?

(I have a **** PC too and that's why I haven't played Arma2).

It's an Acer Aspire laptop with 4GB RAM, Intel Core i3 processor and an ATI Mobility Radeon 512MB graphics card. PR:BF2 runs super smooth on high settings.

PR:A2 runs ok on it with all low settings, 2km view distance and usually sits at around 20-30 fps, in dense city areas a bit lower, in the desert up toward 50-60 fps.

It doesn't look good, but I like it for what it is.

I have a bad PC to run it properly, so I'm sticking to BF2 for now. But even if I had Arma 2, I would wait at least for a full PR release to get into it.

ArmA is just superior to BF2 but I'm currently playing PR mainly on BF2. It might be me, because I like slower and more organized gameplay, to support it but currently I play constantly mods with various ArmA communities and not PR (PR can't provide organized and high quality gameplay other communities within ArmA do ATM). Once PR's players come along and understand all the gamemachanics I'll surely shift all my time towards PR:ARMA II

I bought ARMA II and don't regret it. However, it's a long way off from being playable for me. The auto-radio commands were irritating, I found the graphical effects to be a huge headache (literally), and the simplest of tasks were incredibly complex. Not that I'm not willing to put in the time to learn, but even menial accomplishments were needlessly complicated. Like I said - I didn't expect to know how to play it, but the general experience seems far too un-intuitive for me to enjoy at this time.

Still - glad I bought it, I'm sure I will come back to it when PR: ARMA is further developed. The potential is obvious.

I enjoyed PR:Arma2 for a short while, the only thing that really put me off playing as much as I wanted to was the 'warping' which was a pretty huge issue for me. Now that BIS are addressing that and I've just tested this out, I'm well pleased.

Epic win.

arma 2 pr is cool, but movement and firefights are more simulation , pr bf2 has more action, more colored maps. arma looked ... a little bit colorless
