Always works this mumble, but after a few weeks mumble doesnt link to any server anymore. my system dont chanhe, and yes i started as admin.

Did you delete your PR intro movies, in the same way you delete the BF2 ones?

Ehm, can you explain that? Because I haven't done that yet, and my mumble isn't working too...

Check this location

\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\movies

for following files

bss_intro.bik
menubg.bik
pr_intro.bik

If you deleted those files mumble will not link for some reason. Check "\mods\bf2\movies\" also. There should be more files in that folder ( seven of them I think )

What is your operating system?

i deleted the 2 movies, not the background.

Look here for PR movies. But this problem is known with XP systems and you have Win7. Well you may try and see if it works.

i modified my overlay, is this the problem?

when i start withoutout overlay i have no problems..the overlay is bugged.

Link works fine for me. Here is direct link for movies.

If you messed up the overlay maybe. It could be corrupted. Try editing it, or disable it completely. You can get this custom overlay and replace it if its broken.

i used this custom overlay, but i can only play disable it now.

Hi Garack, I've seen many people with your problem, I'm trying to write up a new Sticky topic to help everyone out in the future.

Can you please give me the following info:
Your OS, 32 or 64 bit?
Is your user account an administrator account or not?
Have you permanently disabled UAC?
Do you run PR and/or PRMumble in XP SP3 compatibility mode?

This is what I've written so far... it should help you, I will stick with this until we get you sorted out.

Note 1: It is much easier to start PRMumble BEFORE you start PR.

Note 2: For Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and 2008r2 and Windows 8 users,
IF you run PR.exe as an administrator, you must run PRMumble as an administrator,
IF you run PR.exe NOT as an administrator, you must run PRMumble NOT as an administrator,
IF you have permanently disabled UAC, you must run PRMumble and PR NOT as administrator,

OR PRMumble will not automatically link to the PR.exe and BF2.exe programs, which will block the automated server, team and squad switching that has been implemented.

Try downloading and installing my overlay?

dont work, disable the overly sometimes work, just tried again and mumble wont connect.

i used mumble 4 weeks fine...sometimes it works sometimes not.

use win7 64 latest drivers, all overlays tried, i am admin i run as admin, uac is always off, enerymanagement is off this is a gameer PC.

btw the link dont work.

Every link in this thread works for me, and I believe for most others. Which indicates that you have a problem with either your OS, or networking. Might be malware as well.

LOL Garack, the guys who wrote the beta PRMumble code never bothered to mention to anyone that they are using the start of the menubg.bik file as an activation toggle for the PRMumble linking.

SOOO many people had the same problem and no one had any documentation as to wtf was going on.

The Tech support guys had no idea either, another community member discovered this on his own, and many thanks to him for posting it on the forum.

Same problems, movies are ok now, i can connect and mumble link to most mumble servers after some minutes gameplay mumble crashed.

really hate this mumble stuff, cause i cant play pr on mumble servers sice month , old thread is locked see inside for all my system specs and what i have done to resolve it.

As soon as i join a SQ mumble crashed, every new try i send the error report , but nothing helps.


i started as admin, sometimes it works for 10 minutes...any help? PR was great bevore mumble. now i cant play anymore.
