A simple but creative kit idea.

Considering I cannot post this in the suggestions forum due to lack of posts, I had to post here. If the thread could be moved I would be very greatful. :)

I have a idea for a rather understated idea, a Paratrooper kit that provides a Medium/Close range sighted assault rifle that includes a parachute so the user can be dropped at Medium/High attitudes in areas that would be dangerous to land or too far away from a landing zone.

This as a very simple and quick addition to a new update release would be a massive game changer and in addition to reduce the amount of helicopter crashes by buggy landings/take offs. But the disadvantage of not being able to drop a crate at the landing zone.

To provide balance the kit would be set out like this:

Slot 1: Knife
Slot 2: Shovel
Slot 3: Standard assault rifle with EOD/Iron Sight/Red Dot
Slot 4: Ammo Pack
Slot 5: Coloured Signal Smoke
Slot 6: Binoculars
Slot 7: 2 Incindanary Grenades
Slot 8: Empty.
Slot 9: 1 Field Dressing to still involve pressing 9 to quick select it.

I really hope the developers think about this idea and add it within the next update and a new style of gameplay would develop.

Thanks,
Long term strategic player and massive fan of Project Reality.

Why would this kit have a place in a Realism mod? (And it's not required for improving gameplay).

Suggestion outside of the forum too bud.

Basically this is a rifleman kit with a parachute?

Yes I know, But the problem is that it would be nice of maps that do not support those mobile paradrop spawns. Example on some insurgency maps that provide a helicopter but is difficult to land inside a city/forest to attack a objective.

I cannot describe how many times me jumping out of a transport as a passenger with a pilot kit just to meet up with my squad or land at a friendly outpost to provide support.

Well the parachute would provide a advantage so giving a disadvantage by limiting to close range conflict and removing the grenades.

Plus I made another suggestion about runway lengths before I didn't get any attacks about thead location, plus I did ask if a move is possible due to needing 25 posts to be able to post on there.

Plus you quoting about it reducing realism I have never seen a military soldier in US/Canada/IDF/British ever use C4/Mines in the middle of a battle to stop enemy vehicles, only for door breaching or building demolitions in special operations.

Plus this tactic of paradropping out of choppers DO get used in military combat but at far distances from targets, but you have to realise this is a video game in my view to provide fun though very close to real combat.

You should really search before suggesting. Please check this thread out in future.

If you want to remove this thread is entirely up to you but if you want the negative influence that most people possese thoughout the internet to create the decision of someones small unreasonable error of searching get over your decision to stop peoples imagination overfill someones desires.

(Poetic emotional writing off)

The suggestions area is there for a reason. Wait till you have 25 posts, then post it. If it doesn't get accepted for public viewing, its a resuggestion/not possible/not realistic/all of the above.

This is exactly why there is a 25 post requirement to post suggestions. New users think that their idea is original, when in fact its been suggested before. The post requirement is there to force new members to get accustomed to how things work here before posting suggestions.

This has not only been suggested before but it is in a way already in the game.

Oh and not searching before posting a new thread is against the forum rules, so instead of being pissy towards a Dev I urge you to go and read the forum rules again.
