To the Project Reality Community, R-DEVs and R-CONs
This letter is being written to clear up any misconceptions that have occurred recently.
We, The Hardcore Clan, are writing this letter to apologize for any problems that have occurred recently and in the past regarding the hardcore gaming clan and its members that have affected the PR community. We would like to explain to you and the community who we are as a clan.
Unfortunately, and as we all know, sometimes players bring trouble into the servers in an attempt to ruin the simulated combat experience for everyone else. And also, sometimes admins make mistakes. Here at hardcore our clan is mainly comprised of current and ex military personnel, we come from all over the world, different races, religious and political beliefs, but when we joined this community and clan we became friends, brothers and sisters. We come to play for fun and enjoy the teamwork of this mod with all that it has to offer. We attempt to provide our players with a server that is free of drama and cheaters as well as give them the chance to learn the game and play it as it was meant to be played. We encourage new players to join us in squads so we can teach them the tactics we have learned in order for them to become skilled PR players and to join our community to see what the game as well as our clan is all about. Unfortunately things do happen from time to time and our admins will attempt to solve these issues as quick as possible, however we try to be players first and admins second, as we are here to play the game as well.
As we all know, there are some players that will get on servers just to cause problems and we try our best to weed those problem players out as quick as possible. We have very strict rules regarding the game and how it is played to keep the game as fair and fun for everyone. If you follow this link you will see how strict or rules are;
SERVER RULES For HARDCORE SERVERS - HARDCORE GAMING CLAN.
Every player and admin must follow these rules, no one is above the rules here, not even our admins or members. Everyone has bad days sometimes and even make mistakes that they may regret later on, even our admins here. We are not perfect in any way and do make bad calls from time to time, when this happens a panel of other admins will discuss the issue and if it is found that an admin acted inappropriate or made a bad decision then that admin will be disciplined accordingly. We here at hardcore do not condone any misuse of admin rights, if it?s found that an admin has done this then the following actions may be taken (admin rights removed for a certain time period, banned from server, re-read and sign our admin code of conduct or even removed from the clan, things like this). We offer a drama free server and we often end up with multiple clans calling the Hardcore server their preferred server to play on. Skilled players and new players are welcome alike, new players are often taken under our wing and guided through the game giving them tips and explaining things if they are unclear.
People often complain about Team-stacking, but what they don't realize is that all our members, and regular players who can make an effort, are on Ventrillo communicating with each other. Anyone is welcome and we have quite a few non hardcore members who come into vent on a regular basis to get an even better advantage teamwork wise. We are just normal players, most of us are pro-military or from a military background in one way of another, and we simply like teamwork, with or without our tags, we are still the same players with the same skill sets. If we were to remove our tags nothing would change, the games would still be the same. We take our admin duty very seriously, we have various CoC's that have to be signed, and all members are vetted and voted into the clan by a majority vote. If any admin appears to be abusing their powers, they will have them revoked.
Everyone is transparent in our clan, and have to answer for their actions in game. We are extremely lenient in our administering as we are players first, admins second, if people do for whatever reason get banned, they have every right to come and appeal, we are humans too, everybody makes mistakes and can be given another chance. Repeat offenders or offenders who are just downright disrespectful towards our clan or its members in general, might not be so lucky, nobody is forcing them to visit our server. If they don't like it, they are free to try other servers.
PR is a fantastic Mod, as you might have noticed with the release of BF3 lots of our player base disappeared, but slowly they have come back to PR. Since our server is full during peak hours almost every single day (Despite the crashes) I would hazard a guess that we are doing something right, and the majority of the players out there who visit our server, are extremely satisfied with how its ran. At the end of the day, we, the Members and Players of Hardcore, pay towards hosting this server, out of our own pockets, we like to have our server so we have some place to call home. We do not ask or demand payment for our server, it is ran on voluntary contributions solely. All players from all over the world are welcome to come and join us, we do not ask for anything in return other than for them to show observe our basic rules, and have a good game! If there is any confusion or there are any issues in game our admins are more than happy to help clear up any issues, but remember, they too are there to enjoy themselves, not to babysit. Players first, Admins second.
Over the years, complaints have been made, some valid, some not, but in truth, that isn't important. What is important is how we deal with those complaints. The DEVs have asked us to not get into arguments about complaints about our server. Many of our members, myself included, have had a hard time keeping our big mouths shut. We are very dedicated to our clan and it's server, and have often seen these complaints as attacks on our family. Our defense of our server and our policies have often put us at odds with the DEV's, Mods, and the PR community. We try our best to make an enjoyable environment for the majority of our guests, but not everyone can be pleased all of the time. We have always been open to hearing criticism and suggestions. We maintain a public forum and a dedicated section specifically about PR. We invite every single player to stop by and participate. We simply ask that rather than tell us we suck, tell us the reason, and offer a solution.
Regarding the issue on the PR forums regarding a donation to be unbanned, this was an isolated incident, and we do not require any form of payment for ban appeals, we don't require public players or members to pay to play on our server at any time. We run on donations only.
We enjoy the game that the developers have provided us and commend them on their hard work that has provided us with such a realistic game. For many of us here this game is a way for us to leave the hustle and bustle of the real world and get together with friends for a few hours to have fun. Keep up the great work and I look forward to many more years of this game. Again, we, the Members and Jr's of the Hardcore Clan apologize for any issues that we may have caused.
