[?] PR Heightmaps/Colourmaps for CE3

Hello guys!
I'm having some questions regarding the use of PRs heightmaps/colourmaps:
1. Is it allowed to use them?
2. For the case its allowed, is there a way to export them/are they available somewhere?
3. Does anyone know if there are differences for the use of them between BF2 and CE3 or do I simply have to import them?

To answer your first question, all Project Reality's work is copyright protected and as such, by law you can not use them for your own use without explicit permission from us and the creator of the work.
Although yes it is possible to do and iirc, isn't that hard.

Thanks for the quick answer!
So as long as I'm doing everything myself, would I be allowed to recreate a map like Muttrah on CE3 (with the PR version only serving as inspirational source)? It's not like I wanna publish that map publicly, just out of pure curiosity of how it would turn out and look in Cryengine 3.

I'm the creator of Muttrah City and its based on a real place:
muttrah, oman - Google Maps
There is no reason why you can't make the map yourself
from scratch, but you can not legally use any of PR's files to do so. You can however download DEM data of the area which you can convert into a heightmap, but will most likely not be as detailed as PR's so will require a lot of work.

If you want help with the colourmaps, PM me, as it's a pain to reassemble them.
