[HELP] everything turns green

He's the story. I managed to convert dalian plant into pr. The view distance was only 600 meters. I wanted to see up to 1500 meters. So I changed this in the sky.con " Renderer.fogColor 0/0/0
Renderer.fogStartEndAndBase 0.00/1500/1500/1500"

I changed this in the Init.con

GameLogic.MaximumLevelViewDistance 1500

Then....everything turned green.

Please help someone.

Do this instead:
Renderer.fogStartEndAndBase 0/1500/0/1

Though you'd probably have to play with the start value to get a better gradient going, perhaps:
Renderer.fogStartEndAndBase 1200/1500/0/1

Don't forget overgrowth.con as well.

That's pretty funny! I wonder why on earth that happens o_0

Also a little off topic, but I find it humorous how used to PR I've become... I looked at the second pic and realized that was the site of pretty much *all* the caps on the map, whereas it'd be maybe 1, or two in PR ^_^.

I would think that has something to do with the lighting settings, not fog, never seen fog do anything like that before.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally change lighting settings? I don't remember the exact terms, but terrain, objects, overgrowth have separate lighting values. Seems like something is wrong with objects' parameters since everything else looks fine.

My suggestion is that you reset all lighting settings back to what they were (or use the settings from another level) and then change the fog as Ancientman suggested to get the right view distance etc.

Naa, it's got nothing to do with lighting conditions. It's because he had the base values the same (the last 2 digits). They need to be different, otherwise you will get this exact issue :) . The base values should usually be 0 to 1, to denote a smooth gradient from start to finish.

Ye its the fog as AM said, seen it before.

Not sure why the gun etc is green thou when you set fog colour to 0/0/0 (you should keep the fog colour as it was btw) but I'm pretty damn sure its the fog.

AIght, never encountered that issue before with the editor, never had any reason to change those values to zero even though messed with them quite a bit. Now I know. :-)

What should I do with the overgrowth.con?

That was the problem. Thank you so much

Why on earth does that happen if fog colour is 0/0/0?

bumpy, just want to confirm that this problem is down to the fog colour, not the fog range (although a buggy fog range might cause it also, not confirmed that one).

If any of the RGB values are below a value of 3, all bundlemeshe objects are green.

For example, if you have:

Code: Select all

Renderer.fogColor 2.00/5.00/11.00
Then all your dynamic objects will be green.

However if you have:

Code: Select all

Renderer.fogColor 3.00/5.00/11.00
Then everything is fine :)
