Hi everyone!

I'm back at home for a couple of days, and seeing as I don't have internet access at uni where i can play some good old PR online during revision downtime (having to settle down with my own servers and co-op, making bang bang noises... ) i booted up PR and mumble and noticed i needed to get the new one, so i did. I've installed it, set it up to how i want and rebooted my laptop. Now, when i try and run pr with mumble, it'll play the 2 splash screens and then crash to desktop with no error messages.

During the splash screens, the overlay (which i've enabled) shows all of the people including myself in the root server with the muted and deafened symbols, and then everything goes black, and mumble is there sitting on my desktop with a vacant expression like 'What you looking at me for?'

I'm running a different setup to what i've put in my profile (new lappy for christmas, even if i did have to pay for it...)

Intel i5 480m processor
Windows 7 64 bit (maybe this has something to do with it? I installed everything using x86 though...)

As always, i'm running mumble in admin mode first, then pr in admin mode. I've been using 0.973 since release, and i've downloaded the map pack and it works, but like i said above, everything's just in offline mode with bots and what not.

Anybody got any ideas what's up?

Have you tried turning off overlay? Disable it and then see if same thing happens again.

Yep, turned it off and its working again now. Suppose they're still having issues with trying to get it to work are they?

Well it is still beta, and knowing the fact that not every PC is the same ( even if they look alike ) just as their owners, I'm assuming from feedback given that some would work better without overlay. Were still collecting data, not yet sure what could cause it.

Are you using ATI or NVidia graphics and which driver version? (latest?)

Any other overlay there...steam, xfire, anything? Runing it as admin no XP compatibility mode?

you might be able to download K_Rivers custom ovelay, it's a minimalist overlay, you might have had your GPU rendering the overlay (of player names) beyond the bottom of the screen, (if that makes sense).
