I doubt it'll have been removed intentionally?

But.. I still get the cough and the same as I would without it.. Just a bit lame to not look as if you were "Dying" and just a normal screen.

What graphics-card do you have?

POV GTX 470, Overclocked @ 800Mhz Core, 1600Mhz Shader, 2000Mhz Memory. Everything else is graphically fine, so I doubt it's the overclock. Apart from the PR black glitches I get sometimes, I don't think are faults on my side.

If you have anti-aliasing higher than 4x on Nvidia cards(I think, might be also 2x), you won't get the black and white effect.

Well known but never fixed.

I'm gonna hope it's 4x, since I don't see LOADS of difference between 4x and 8x, but I'll have to try!

I installed the new NVIDIA graphics driver that came out yesterday, now I have the black and white effect again *doh*

I figured out that if you set the AA settings within the NVIDIA Control Panel to "enhance the application settings" the black & white effect works again regardless of your ingame settings. YAY!

I can reproduce this. If you use the latest driver you got the black/white screen even when switching AA to 8x.

Yea, but that works like some sort of exploit, shouldn't happen

It'll be fixed (well not fixed, but worked around), in the next version of PR.

Wow, after several years I am able to see the Black and White screen once again!
