The 75th Ranger Regiment is a Realism unit that strives to capitalize on the values of teamwork, leadership, and learning. We are a Project Reality and ArmA2 unit, the 75thR was retired following decreased levels of activity in what some considered a dead game. The Regiment and its principals have forged a long standing history of professionalism, dedication, and perseverance. The primary goal of the Regiment is to facilitate an enjoyable environment for its members predicated upon teamwork and organization. The unit itself is run in a logically sound, efficient, and adaptable organization structure based off of the actual 75th Ranger Regiment.

The term Realism unit has been used to describe a variety of organizations. Ranging from hardcore "Milsim" which involves long arduous hours of being yelled at, saluting officers, guarding ammo depots, and complaining about poor cellphone reception. To "Tactical Realism Groups" which employ actual Military tactics that have proven effective or have been adapted to a specific game. It is in our interest to be the latter as that falls in line with our Mission Statement of an "enjoyable environment predicated upon teamwork. World War I was fought using tactics that were ill suited for the current battlefield resulting in mass desolation. Realism for realism's sake is discouraged, but effectiveness, efficiency, and lethality are paramount to the Regiment's success.

The Regiment is run off of a Chain of Command to ensure that all issues or concerns are handled in a timely manner. This Chain of Command also serves as the bonding glue that holds a team together. If there is no Shepherd to guide the Sheep, the Sheep wander and are lost. It is in our interest to transform you from Sheep to Shepherds. The Regiment's system promotes individual development not only as a Gamer, but as a Leader and a Person. We don't build Gamers, we do not build Killers. We do not build Commanders nor do we build Soldiers.

We build Character.

You guys have the same logo/name as one of the 3dAC squads. As for all of our squads I made a high-res logo for it. You guys are free to use it as well if you want to.

If anyone is thinking about joining these guys, they are frauds.

That Recruiting and Retention banner image they have, their recruitment post, and their overall description of their unit are direct copies/were stolen from the [75thR].

They claim to not be linked in anyway to the [75thR], but a majority of their material has been plagiarized.

I asked them about this on their forum, and they removed my post.

1. The US MILITARY is shutting down ANY WEBSITE that has copyrighted material in any way, shape, or form that is currently used by the US MILITARY. I suggest that if you are going to start any sort of group that is named from a ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY UNIT, that you either change your group name or dont even bother.

2. If you are going to make a military group, try using a name that is from a DE-ACTIVATED unit. For instance, 5th Ranger Battalion was de-activated after world war 2. Therefore that name is fine because that unit is no longer an active duty unit.

Keep these things in mind when you are going to be starting a group using the US MILITARY logos, beret flashes, etc in ANY of your images on your site. And also keep in mind that with certain new laws passing, the US Government can do whatever they please. Already had 2 instances of the US Army shutting down a unit's site for either copyrighted material or copyrighted unit names.

My post does make sense, and I have added you to xfire but you ignored my questions and then blocked me.

This is a recruitment post. It is in a recruitment forum, and the post clearly indicated that you are recruiting.

I have evidence that this was directly copied from previous work from former [75thR] members, a community that has been around a lot longer than yours.

I had spoken to Freeman, a member of your clan about this, and it seemed that you were removing all plagiarized images and posts and were formulating your own. A member had taken this above work and claimed that he had written it, and you had no idea that it was plagiarized and had apologized for using it. I thought that had been dealt with, and all of this was now resolved, and I come to see your latest post. It really shows your maturity.

There really isn't anything for me to get. I thought the problem was dealt with, it has been, and you will have an original recruitment post up soon. I have read the rules and to me this isn't bashing or flaming, it is just pointing out a fact and it has been addressed.

Good luck with your unit, LT. I have had my questions towards the plagiarism answered and the problem will be addressed, so you won't have any further trouble from me.
