supply requests and markers

while playing on servers with high amounts of team work i have found that it is sometimes difficult to get the attention of supply runners Via either supply truck or Helo drops. sometimes my squad might be sitting in one location for some amount of time before we get supplies to build our Fob. While requesting the supplies the Supply request icon also is under my Squad leader Number circle and half covered so that if the Supply runners were looking at the map they may miss the marker i have requested causing me to have to run a couple meters out of the way.

Solution:
allow for squad leader placed forward supply drop markers. through the squad leader radio function and marker system, Set the distance from your position. then select "instead of enemy tank, inf, fob, what ever.. select Supply Request Icon. this allows supply runners time to drop off needed supplies before squads reach the destination.

Along with that idea the commander should be able to request supplies as well but through the commander screen. set the same way the commander sets Way point markers and enemy icons. Also if possible have the commander have the ability to ask squads to request supplies ( Because of the one Marker per 30 seconds to 1 minute ) forgot the time.
Allow the commander to give a supply request order to a squad through the Squad Attack,Defend, Move functions.
"supplies needed at this location"

"May not be possible to have Squad designated Supply markers or simply unneeded but at least for the commander requested supply drop icon should be in use."

Along with those ideas for the *Getting the supplies to where they need to be* . . . I was thinking we could elaborate on this even further.

If it would be possible for Helicopters or Supply trucks to drop Supply crate markers on the map through their flight screen possibly? .... when a supply runner drops *1* or *2* Crates maybe there could be a way for them to select *1* or *2* crates dropped so that the team knows how many are at that position. as an added bonus being DIRECTLY on top of the spot the supplies were dropped at for added coordination "only if the vehicle is stationary" i don't believe automatic markers are possible but if they are ... that would be Prime.

Also could come in handy as another marker placement item for a given amount of time for how long the markers are visible to the team for some fobs where crates are located at a weird location where people have a hard time finding them. squad leaders can mark where the crates are located. ** OR to update out dated supply drop locations if squads haven't gotten to the drop site yet.

Lastly something that would be nice but inst something that is crucial. having the ability to mark Enemy crate locations on the map. If a squad observes an enemy supply drop with out any enemy's around to build up the fob and the squad is too far away or across substantial obstacles they could coordinate where and how many crates are deployed for future reference for the team to dispose of them.

Awesome idea! Often enough I wished to have sth. like this. I fully support the general idea. How exactly it would be implemented is oc depending on engine possibilities but I think I would be okay with it anyway.

Personally until the day this is implemented, if I ever need to call supplies to a location further ahead of me, I use the "Destroyed Bridge" map marker and get them to drop it there.

1) Destroyed bridge is very distinctive and hard to mistake
2) It's quite obvious to most people there isn't a destroyed bridge near the mosque in muttrah so very little confusion happens.
3) From then on the pilot/supply truck knows that if he sees a destroyed bridge marker he can put crates there to make me happy :)

There SL commo rose is currently full and there are no free spaces for further commands.

However I suggest that this great idea replaces the 'Enemy Rally Point Spotted' command, as it serves no purpose considering how long the RP actually lasts.

I agree and to remove the enemy rally point thing is a good option.

that is true i have found ive used the Bridge out icon for enemy crate locations ... not as much for a Foward crate request on our team though :D ...... i would say the 1 icon i have never seen anyone use would be Enemy spotter spotted...
its like a W shape and no body utilizes it... if i had a vote i would say the spotter spotted should be enemy crates located

and ... I actually DO use the enemy really point spotted to indicate current locations of entire Squads. but i could see away with that icon to make room for this if its in the best interest.

So remove the 'Enemy Rally Point Spotted', and replace it with 'Supplies needed at the location'? Sounds good to me :)

I was thinking about that the other day, though I never get around to suggesting thing's anymore. Nice that someone got to it.

On second thoughts a 'Drop Point' marker would be best, which can be an umbrella term for supplies or chopper dropzone.

I endorse this! A good change that will really help with logistic coordination.

Kind of Offtopic: In my clan we use the Enemy Rallypoint Marker as a platoon-wide movemarker.
