Noddy's pro tips for new players.
  1. Get a Mic

  3. Tell your squad you're new
  4. Don't use any heavy assets until you've mastered basic infantry

Check out the manual, here.

Also check out this thread, here.

Play on the BigD Australian server when you can or Tactical Gamer, PRTA or NwA during off-peak times. If you have a question, use the search function on the forums to find it out. If you pay attention and have good patience in game, you will have fun. PR is like no other FPS, it does not come down to reflexes, more to positioning and playing smart. The more knowledge of the game you have, the more fun you will have.

Any questions, ask them here.

Nah mate, you just need an authentic copy of BF2 with valid CD key. Patch it up to version 1.50 and then download and install Project Reality from the Downloads section of this forum. Finally, download and install Mumble 1.0 and you are good to go.

Welcome, see you in game.

If you check with your local ISP they might have the d/l files too

(I know bigpond, node etc. host the files so you might find those quicker to download anyhows)

Just one thing, dont listen noddy, hehe and dont take medic at the begining, couse everyone will scrime they need medic, and u will all lost runing around like a chicken. Take rifleman, ask SL for some advice of shoting, like dont move while u aim for accurate shot. And listen to your SL, TeamWork is a must. see ya on battlefield.

One really important thing: Be patient. Try not to die - even if that means not being able to kill a lot of enemies. Your own survival is most important. Think of your own life first, the life of your squad members second. The death of your enemy isn't very important compared to that. If you're being shot at while at a disadvantage, take cover instead of trying to take that guy with you - he'll just get revived and you'll be in a bad position and your own medic might not get you. Get in cover and wait for orders.

You might want to try single player first to get a feel for the game play. Once you get used to how the game works, then try deployment.

^Nah, I reckon just get in game straight away. Learn the good habits from the start.

Just find a good Squad Leader (SL) and listen to him and the others in your squad. Most people that play PR have a mic and are fairly decent on new comers.

Also, head on over to BigD Gaming Community which is the website for the Aussie servers. There are 2 Forum Member Skirmishes coming up this weekend, all you need to do is sign up in the relevant threads and show up on the night.

Also, use punctuation.

But I would recommend singleplayer just to get a feel for the controls, etc, but then start playing deployment as soon as possible, because singleplayer is very different (tactics-wise) than an actual game.

Hey i recognize you...You solo'd a scimitar on Burning sands and got it stuck out of bounds whilst killing yourself trying to save it. Reminds me of when i was a noob. I took a Huey on Mutrah and killed a whole friendly squad that hopped on board by crashing directly into the water straight from the carrier. Anyway we have our newby moments and I'll look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!
