I have an installation problem.

When I click the .msi file installation, I get this error :"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed."

I've tried reinstalling Windows installer, I've uninstalled Vista SP2, I've corrected the image-path of windows installer in the registry...

As a test, download and install another .msi installer program...
maybe 7zip here for example:

Download
(Pick the correct msi installer for your OS )

IF that fails also we'll know it's a windows component and not a corrupted mumble msi download.

Try Microsoft support too there are few slutions, but be careful with it. Backup your files before you do anything. This is for advanced users only.

The .msi file from 7z did work.

I tried to do this in CMD, Command Prompt: msiexec /a (filepath of .msi)

It worked but all that appeared was an installation screen with finish button only. I clicked it and mumble 1.0 launched and connected.

But now I can't find a shortcut for it. It's weird how the installation appeared as finished.

x32 is
C:\Program Files\PR Mumble\pr_mumble.exe

Thanks guys.

It finally worked. had to use /I instead of /a (installing instead of extracting)

I did this :

Command prompt run as admin, write in : msiexec /I (filepath of .msi)

Thanks problem solved.
