Tech issue installing Map Pack v0.973

Hi all,
I'm having a problem installing the new map pack (v0.973). When it comes to selecting where BF2 is for installation a pop up appears which says
"This process requires Project Reality BF2: v0.973" and asks me if I want to go to the downloads page.
BF2 is installed in the correct place (the original file path), and my BF2

R is up to date.
Any ideas?

There's most likely something wrong with your folders. Stuff being placed where they're not supposed to be. Make sure you select the same folder that pr.exe is in.
For the next time; use the PR:BF2 Support section if you need help. That's where the technical helpers are.

The install is insisting that it goes in the BF2 root directory... when i try to choose the Mod / PR folder it says this:
"Your installation path is not your root Battfield 2 directory"
"Project Reality: BF2 requires Battlefield 2 v1.5 to be installed first"

mods/pr isn't the BF2 root directory, it'll be something like c:/program files/ea games/battlefield 2/
or it could be a registery issue, Ancientman created a fixer for it, bout to do a search for it now.

As Animal said, don't click any further than Battlefield 2. When you've hit that, click install.

I've tried just the Battlefield 2 folder and that is when it says that it isn't the right one./..
