Wrong section, has been posted already, doesn't really work with PR. Their so called magnification for scopes only zooms in the part of the scope, making it look unsharpened and distorted. This might be not a problem with little zoom but is not usable with any greater magnification.

They do some really interesting stuff but the PR team already stated they are not willing to take most of the stuff, MOST.

Oh yes they mastered the 3d scopes... With more blur...The customization serves no purpose in PR.

Wookie Sniper Mod had similar customization. Alpha Project makes it look prettier though, more friendly.

My personal opinion is that it's cool, but it takes a lot of effort to get it working, without adding much to the game. Perhaps if someone from the community steps up and spends time on this, it'll be accepted. Otherwise, I don't see it coming to PR any time soon as there are far more important tasks that need to be done.

AWWHAHAH...holy shit!!!
its taking me a month to just understand exporting, these guys are really something. animations suck, but the way they put in multiple ambient animations, like resting hands and stuff, along with leaf falling effects and stuff, damn im jelly.

I'd seriously encourage all DEVs to take some inspiration from this work, they are trying new things.

I really wish PR could have the same quality as FH2 and Alpha Project.

Explain "same quality".

it is yet to be seen that the system could even work with PR's limited kit system (of the two, the latter is more important to gameplay)

Have you played FH2? The player models looks 10 times better then in PR, the kit geometries don't change when you pick up an enemy kit, vehicles don't take damage after every tiny bump, the maps look realistic, there are no black spots for ATI card users, and I can go on.

Last time I checked this wasn't a PR vs other mods thread... Keep it that way, please. Otherwise MODs will come in and lock this place.

You can talk about the cool stuff of Alpha Projects and how some people want it in PR. Why not come up with a concept that you think works for PR and find ways to make that happen instead?

There is only so much you can do with the R2 engine first off, second the kit geo switch is a bug. The devs are working on fixes. Vehicles taking damage every bump, fair enough, but it's a map/terrain/R2 thing. Muttrah is literally a full scale version of the ACTUAL place. ATI users like myself, we just delete our cache files and we're good.

Yay DICE GOT IT RIGHT!

[R-DEV]Spush wrote:Explain "same quality".
I suppose he must mean visual quality. gameplay is really sound after all these years with emphasis on evolving the gameplay through the builds. But very little has been done to really push objects, textures and statics, apart from the vehiles and soldiers (which are great looking). The terrain never really got prettier, and things like trees and bushes have been left idle with crazy lines that hover in mid air and stuff, however the level layouts became far more advanced because it seems popular to build objects on google maps rather than try and structure the terrain according to how you might imagine it in your head.
