Alright guys. Was wondering if someone can help me, I downloaded the latest Mumble PR program and installed it, but every time I open it up it crashes, and then it gives me the option to send an error report.
Any help or advice would be very appreciated.
Cheers.

Could you please give us your system specs?
OS , 32 or 64 bit?
Can you run PRMumble again and find the error report and copy it to notepad, then copy to a reply here?
Was PRMumble 0.5 running well?
Is another version of Mumble also installed?

Windows XP Pro SP3
AMD Athlon XP 2600+
1.91Ghz
1.00 GB Ram
Radeon 3600 HD 512 MB Video Card
650w PSU
Pretty basic but it run's PR..Just!
Any tips on how I can improve performance, as PR sometimes runs a bit slow?
Cheers,
Danny

Try editing mumble shortcut. Right click on it and remove -m switch from target line.
Do you have any other mumble versions running on your PC?

As for mumble - there is usually not much you can do besides cleanly un- and reinstalling.

Redownload PR_Mumble 1.0 to make sure the installer is not corrupted.
Any chance of giving us the details of that error report?
Performance Tip: Defrag regularly as your low RAM causes more slow Hard Drive activity (pagefile access).

Many people suggest using a program like
Gamebooster. It essential shut s down all unnecessary background programs in Windows to free up as much RAM and CPU cycles as possible.
I however am old school, and do it manually using the ElderGeek Windows XP SP3 guide and Black Viper Windows XP SP# services guides.
Services Guide for Windows XP
Black Viper’s Windows XP x86 (32-bit) Service Pack 3 Service Configurations | Black Viper | www.blackviper.com
I also use a Ram manager, usually outertech.com 's cachemem,
Speed up your PC - Clipboard Manager - Bookmark Manager
I also would use a 3rd party defrag utility, mydefrag.com , and go to the forums and download a custom script to move your system sfiles and BF2/PR files to the fastest part of your hard drive.
GO here, and download the free Regular Edition Windows XP tweaking companion, and look through it...
TweakGuides.com - The TweakGuides Tweaking Companion
Then go through the BF@ tweaking companion, note that there is old info, but some of it is good,
TweakGuides.com - Battlefield 2 Tweak Guide

Thanks for the tips there guys, I defrag frequently, I will try the third party ones soon and also loon into the other links listed.
And in respect to that Mumble error report, it won't let me see it, it just says provide your email and send this error report to the Mumble developers?
Not to sure how to get that information.
And no I removed the last mumble version and installed this straigh after guys.

Exact same problem here, after I get past the setup wizard I have to cancel the default connection otherwise it'l crash. I remember trying all version of Mumble since last year and same thing happened. Only occured when I tried to connect to a server. Although, just before it crashed after joining a server it came up with this error that I managed to screencap:
I am also on XP 32bit.

Hey I actually just managed to fix it, going into the settings and unchecking something to do with certificates (on laptop cant check what it was exactly) and quickly hitting yes on that popup box. Thanks anyway

Sure, so basically when I launched mumble I had to click cancel on choosing my username for the automatic connection so that the connection would cancel. I then went too:
Settings ->
Network - and unchecked Suppress certificate and password storage. (Not exactly sure if this was the cause of the problem or not).
Then restarted Mumble and upon the automatic connection after entering my username I was shown that same popup box. I am given about a second to hit yes and from then it won't happen again. I found that popup box shows up every time you join a new Mumble server.
Note this is the first Mumble client that I have actually been able to use, all previous versions just crashed without any error messages or popups.
Windows Xp 32Bit
Intel Pentium D - 2.66GHz
3.25GB DDR2 RAM
Hope it helped !
Cheers
