PRTA - Teamwork or Get Out (North America)

PRTA will now be hosting a North American based server for the Project Reality community.

BUT, this server isn't going to be like the rest of the servers out there?

That's right, PRTA has gone through structure changes and rule/policy changes to bring back a long-lost PR mindset on servers.

Teamplay, and nothing but Teamplay.

The changes we've made can be seen clear by the new rules and changes to past rules on PRTA server (new rules seen below), all in an effort to gear our server to what PR was intended for, teamwork, squad cohesion, and competence in assets/roles. With the new rule set and policy geared towards our server and our new admin staff we will be taking a brand new approach and direction with this new PRTA server.

Among these changes are the core structure of our in-game Admins and quality of the gameplay. Given that PRTA is not a clan, our new admins understand that their positions are not just a privilege but are a job, a job that they will be scrutinized on and reviewed on both within the Admin team and from community feedback. Our server's population will also be put under this microscope to ensure quality gameplay. The players in PR that plague servers with no teamwork, and no sense of operating in their asset or roles will be quickly disposed of from the server?Assuring a quality group of players any time.

We understand that the idea and direction is ambitious and will require work. The intention is to have the players in PR that know how to play PR experience quality teamwork on our server, and it's not something that will come easy.

Starting Friday, February 24 we will be starting up and populating our new server, the PRTA - Teamwork or Get Out, where we'll be looking out and inviting the crowd in PR that knows how to play their game.

NEW PRTA SERVER RULES

1. General

1.1 All players must be on mumble; Squad Leaders are required to have a mic.

1.1.1 Please make sure that your nick in game and nick on Mumble are similar to ensure you will not be kicked.

1.1.2 Do not spam mumble or Commo Rose during the game, or between rounds. Have some consideration for others. This includes music, soundboards, 'hot-mics', or any other various types of sounds.

1.1.3 When the server is filled, we will kick non mumblers for players that are on mumble. We will first WARN the player, and after a suitable period of time, KICK the player if they have not joined mumble

1.2 No squads before 2 min and 30 sec.

1.3 Spamming allchat is forbidden. Using it for quick talks between the teams is allowed. If an admin or CO tells you to stop using it, you must do so.

1.4 The PRTA Admins must do their best to keep gameplay and teamwork levels as high as possible. If that includes warning and kicking players outside the ruleset to ensure gameplay, then the admins are well within their rights.

1.4.1 PRTA Admins will be held to the highest standard; it is encouraged/supported that all cases of Admin abuse, slacking, actions unbecoming of a professional, etc. be reported on the Admin Abuse section of the PRTA forums. Feedback will be considered and actions will be taken accordingly.

2. Commander and Squads

2.1 locked squads are not allowed under 6 people on a 64 player server, locked squads are not allowed under 10 people on a 128 player server

2.2 All players have to be in a squad.

2.3 The Commander can assign vehicles to the squads.

2.4 Any squad leader that doesn't follow the commanders orders, will be warned and kicked.

2.4.1 Any squad member who does not follow his SLs orders can be warned and then kicked.

2.5 All squad leaders and commander must be on the mumble squad leader radio net.

3. Vehicles and Assets

3.1 All assets are controlled by appropriate asset squad. You must join that squad or ask before taking the asset.

3.1.1 CAS assets are controlled by the CAS squad, armor assets are controlled by the ARMOR squad, Air Transport and Logistics are controlled by the Logistics squad. Please name your squad correctly.

3.1.2 Assets cannot be claimed by creating a squad after the assets have been taken.

3.2 All vehicles must be manned by trained personnel, if you haven't tried it, don't drive it, incompetence on assets will warrant a kick.

3.3 All vehicles have to be manned with their minimum crew they require to work appropriately.

3.3.1 It is not allowed to solo any vehicle just to take or find other crewman/pilot outside mainbase.

3.3.2 If gunner or drivers dies or disconnects vehicle must immediately return to main or fob for missing crew.

3.4 Any vehicle that has been taken by a squad and is left in close proximity of their position, cannot be taken without consent of said squad.

3.5 Squads handling the teams assets are not allowed to be locked unless they can handle all said assets.

3.6 Using any vehicle as a personal means of transportation is forbidden, doing so will warrant a kick.

3.7 If a certain asset has been repeatedly misused or lost by any individuals, they may be asked by an Admin/Commander to cycle the asset to other members of the team in que or interested in using said asset. Failure to comply with Admin warnings will result in kick.

4. Mainbase Assets and Baserape

4.1 No baseraping at the main bases. No shooting into main bases, no shooting from main bases.

4.2 No shooting, communication spam (Commo-Rose and Mumble), smoke/incendiary/fragmentation/etc. allowed in main.

5. Forbidden Tactics

5.1 Only Insurgents and other unconventional forces are allowed to make use of suicide tactics. Any conventional force spotted using that tactic will be kicked off the server.

5.2 You are not allowed to drive people intentionally over with vehicles. This means turning around or circling just to kill.

5.3 You are not allowed to attack the opposing teams first capable flag until 10 min of the game has passed, unless it is active in the AAS order.

5.4 Mortars in Dome of Death are disallowed.

5.5 C4 is allowed to be placed anywhere but may not be dropped from moving vehicles.

6. Cheats and Glitches

6.1 Cheating and glitching is strictly forbidden. If you are found doing it you will be banned.

6.2 Any person suspected of cheating may be removed and further investigated.

7. Behaviour

7.1 Insulting/racism is not allowed. Insulting anyone in any manner, is not allowed. Racism is in any manner not allowed. We expect you to act in a mature and respectful manner at all times.

7.2 Giving intel of your own team to the enemy is prohibited. And will lead you to being kicked or banned.

7.2.1 Sabotage against your own team in all it's forms is forbidden. And will lead to being kicked or banned.

8. Teamwork and Game-Play

8.1 All members on the server will be expected to play Project Reality the way it was meant to be played. Players, squads, and teams will be expected to communicate with each other and work towards completing game objectives. Server admins will be aware of units who do not follow this, violators will be warned/kicked from server.

8.2 Communication between Commander, Squad Leaders, Assets, and Squad members is Required. Failure to communicate properly or at all will result in warn/kick

8.3 Team-stacking that is deemed detrimental to the server flow of game play will be corrected by Admins. Attempts to continue team-stacking after admin team switching will result in warn/kick.

8.4 Players in assets and leadership positions within the server will be expected to communicate and act as a cohesive team. Reported incidents of squads/assets that refuse to work with the team on game objectives that are in line with intended Project Reality gameplay will be warned/resigned/kicked

8.4.1 Commanders who prove inept in leading their squad leaders, communicating with other squad leaders, and acting in favor of squad/team goals will be warned/resigned

8.4.2 Squad Leaders who prove inept in leading their squad mates, communicating with other squad leaders, and acting in favor of squad/team goals will be warned/resigned. Rule applies to squad members who do not work cohesively with the rest of their squad.

8.4.3 Players that prove inept in using their asset, communicating with other squads, and acting in favor of squad/team goals will be warned/resigned

8.5 Actions that are not meant to be performed in a Tactical Combined Arms Shooter like Project Reality such as: Stunts, bunny hopping, etc.. will warrant a warn/kick.

8.6 Actions that may hinder another squad or team mate's ability to effectively complete team objectives will be warned/kicked (Actions include road-blocking, mindless shooting/giving away positions, kit stealing, denial of vehicle service, general asset waste)

8.7 Lone wolfing on our server with no intent for Teamwork or team-orientated play is forbidden.

As this server progresses with the intended goals we have lined up, we will be:

1) Taking public feedback extremely seriously, in regards to gameplay, admins, etc.. Please feel free to contribute to our feedback base.

2) We will also be looking for other admins who are committed to providing the PR community a place to play that holds Teamwork in the highest degree and standard. Quality of gameplay is what we want, and to achieve that we need a quality staff.
