You'll find them on MODDB, some warm hearted guys made some already.

I've always found coop to be pretty useless for training purposes. Near omniscient AI and limited asset options would make a dedicated training map or mode very appealing to me.

coop is not the ideal thing to train infantry action.. its ok to get fimilar with some basics of pr in general.. but not for real training

I disagree, Ramiel 16 COOP, 20 bots vs 6 bots and yourself or go on a PRSP server like Veterans and have a crapload of AI vs you and some buddies - it's completely unforgiving and great training imo

you missunderstood what i mean with training.. but it doesnt matters, the map i posted is good and we used it today for our first time to train some cqb tactics.

I think we need a dedicated training map with the addition of shooting ranges for each type of weapon/vehicle in it. And the scale to accommodate any type of mission set inside the actual PR. Not just for cold training but also live-fire where you can do skirmish, that way it's got multiple uses and can be played in Co-op, skirmish or 64+ format. It would take a lot of work but in the overall sense I think it would benefit the community as a whole to have such a map so that people don't need to go and download a separate map.
To go one step further we could even put it up on a dedicated server for training the new guys that way we would run less of a risk of having to ban/kick new kiddo's out of the kiddie pool and send them to the kiddie table. If implemented right it would both benefit the vets/new guys. Somewhere safe to train in a live fire environment which is non-existent at the moment.
Opposition to such would be it turning out to be like the old training mode, however it can be set up to be against bots or even just one team if need be in some layers to prevent such. We can all agree somewhere to train, refresh or teach is needed beyond what we currently have right now. The need for satisfactory training that can be used by new comers/vets alike at the same time to better ease people into PR would greatly benefit the community.

i like your idea of a training server..
it could be 2 teams: veterans and newbies
or 2 teams:
unexpierienced players
experienced players
and some reserved slots for training officers with a specialised kit or something.. i think without coding nothing of this will work perfect, but a little bit of roleplay would be nice.. i would really love it.
the newbies are on the server to get picked up by a veteran and to get trained by him. some sort of a parcour with shooting targets to learn the basics of running/aiming/deviation..
200m right to this area could be a marksmenship range
the next one could be a CQB area with targets popping up
on the other side of the map you could have vehicle trainings.. or you can create 2 type of maps: ground training and air-training (2server?)
if i could create maps.. goddammit.. im creative but i dont have any clue of mapping..

*sadface* i would love some roleplay for a training server. i think it would increase the game expierience on the normal server too and ofcourse, the roleplaylevel, if the guys are using the training server to get fimilar with this..

My whole point was the ranges/engagement areas would be all around the map. Thus allowing you to role play if you really wanted to or set up scenarios that could happen in real time or just get someone who's learning to fly to transport you there.

Don't have time or the experience. It was an idea if anyone thought they could take it on.

My whole point though is something that covers every mission over the range of combined arms. Not so much for playing a regular game but for training everyone and allowing combined arms training all within the same area. Infantry may need to practice amphibious assaults, air assault, etc. Thus combining everything.
Various scenarios.
What I keep forgetting to put in also is this shouldn't just be a communty download, but a PR endorsed deal. Like training but a lot less flawed and better implemented.
