You got to give us some info about your PC specs and which OS you are using,
or the best answer we can guess is that some Finnish elves got drunk in your PC last weekend and mixed up the tubes.

After reinstalling BF2 and PR you really need to defrag your hard drive.
Especially true for the larger files in the PR mod, they are probably in many fragments all over your hard drive.
What version of BF2 do you have? Steam, EA Origin, retail DVD, etc.
What OS do you have, and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Defrag the hard drive,
check your firewall/antivirus, make sure it's not blocking PR, put them in to "game mode" if they have the option.
You could download "gamebooster" and run it also, might help. This shuts down unnecessary background processes to save RAM and cpu cycles, which increases gaming performance.
