So I was looking to fix an issue with a PN model, but as it so happens Afterdune doesnt have the original max files for it. I do ofc have access to the .staticmesh files, and I'm wondering if there's a plugin availible to import the file.
Just trying to avoid remaking the model to fix a lod issue.

You need Poe2 BF2 tools for 3ds max (
download here). In 3dsmax, go to BF2 -> Utilities, then in Importers group choose mesh importer. and select a .con file of the object you want to import.
Hope it helped!

It's not a .con, it's a .staticmesh.

the script loads the mesh though the .con file.

He is probably doing some kind of subtle PR:Vietnam promotion with the location.

Quick question to someone smart out there:
I've used the staticmesh importer before, however it doesn't seem to import the textures... is there any way to get both the mesh AND the textures to import properly?

Er.... could you point me to ANYWHERE in that thread that deals with importing staticmesh textures? I'm not sure if you posted that thread in jest because it has seemingly nothing to do with the question I asked.
Edit: yeah, didn't think so

Yes but its not a simple process and there isn't a tut or anything.
