I only noticed this about a month or 3 ago, but I only thought of posting it here now. I have experienced first hand, and witnessed too, some strange CTDs when operating heavy assets.

For example: when I am in an MTLB with a driver/gunner, it sometimes happens that we both crash to desktop without any warning or without anyone else in the server crashing. I have seen this happen to the cobra on Muttrah as well, just dropping out of the sky with both the pilot and the gunner crashing to desktop without any warning. I know this because I am talking in ventrilo with these people. Everything else operates normally, PR just shuts down without warning.

I have no idea how to reproduce this bug, as it seems to happen randomly but I thought it was odd since it happens to both people in the asset.
I mostly play on =HOG= Muttrah 24/7, so these CTDs happened either in an MTLB or in the Cobra. I have not yet experienced this on other maps, but since the bug happens maybe once every two weeks or less, it's hard to reproduce it.

Is the dev-team aware of this or is it happening not enough to truly warrant a full investigation?
As I said, it's hard/nigh impossible to reproduce the bug, I wish I could help you out more.

how often a bug happens is not really important, but that bug you describe is nearly impossible to reproduce, its almost impossible to fix it.

Now that you mention it, I only had CTD's when I was in vehicles in my whole time of playing PR.

I also have noticed occasional mass CTDs, usually they occur to some heavy vehicle's crew and people around the asset. On the other hand, I once experienced it when driving a logi truck from Muttrah's North City to Docks - there might've been MTLB near us, but I'm not sure. If there was - it may indicate the radius is quite big.

9 out of 10 CTDs I get are in heavy assets indeed.

Especially the Cobra on Muttrah is a death trap.

Nice post, i was thining CTD was due to our "old comps", but i see others have CTD like that too. Heppend yesterday in kashan with the tank, few weeks ago in Jets on Black gold, i remember this becouse, i and sq mate were flying migs, around 1500, then the SL put a marker and proper lase with marker on the map, suddenly we both CTD. Now i suspect too much information on the map + speedy change of plane position on map could cause this. Will try to taste that with clan mates, planes in the air and multiple markers on map, will see.

it happened to me also in Muttrah also in Pavlovsky bay in the cobra ! and not only me more people in the server crashed to destkop in a heavy vehicle

I've noticed this too, but I was on the PRTA 126 player server playing Op Marlin AAS in a LAV-3
