Well I'm due to get a new pc before the summer think this would be good enought to run arma at 60+ish fps? Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

yes that will run Arma 2

although it will be a lot cheaper building your own computer

Id get an SSD drive along with that. 128Gb preffered so you can place your system and arma2/pr on SSD drive. Or place system on HDD and use SSD for all your games.

Almost forgot aboutt his topic lol. When you mean cheaper do you mean like I could buy the same parts for less or buy different parts for less?

I think he means you can get the same type of stuff for less.

I have the same MOBO in my rig, except I have the UD5 instead of the UD3. BUT, that all depends on what you are also planning on putting in your PCI slots. I have a XFX Radeon HD 7970, ASUS Xonar D1, and a ASUS N15 wireless adapter. And that leaves me room to add another GPU if I ever decide to.

No I haven't got it yet was planning to get it before the summer and thanks for the suggestions ill look into the mother board.

Cool, but the UD5 motherboard and higher wattage PSU are really only recommendations if you want to SLI. If not, the UD3 will be just fine.

There is honestly no need for an 8-core processor. Just sayin'.

I've got one and I'm extremely happy with it. It leaves room for some games that are coming out soon that will take advantage of the extra cores (ARMA 3).

From the reviews I've read its just as good as the i7 even tho that sounds bad because the i7 is a qaud core but the i7 cost way more and I'd rather get this this and have 8 cores over 4.

And that's why I'll never buy Intel. WAAAAAAY overpriced. I can't way until their next processor comes out and cost 3 grand and you hear all the Intel fanboys moping around cause they can't afford it.

They're market leaders, no need for them to push the price down, they have pretty much 0 competition in the extreme market . But have to agree they are priced too high... However I don't think they'll ever charge over ?1000 for a desktop processor(and those are for mental people , or the "I have more money than sense" people, or possibly the very few who might require it...Scientists?), each iteration costs generally the same amount, but is 'faster', as per Moore's law.

If you go to Newegg and look, the only thing AMD charges $200 or more is for the FX-8150. Intel has numerous over $200, including 2 over $1k. Anyways, stopping there as this is all off topic.

just saying Newegg.ca - Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 3.3GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor BX80619i73960X , this will probably be my first AMD processor any big differences i have to look out for hardware comparability stuff that's different than intel chips, i wasn't worried about it because of the combo but its gone now anyways.
