Hello guys, I got an error saying this EXACTLY on PR: BF2

Staticmesh.fx(2): Error x1507: Failed to open Resource file:
'mods\xpack\shaders\datatypes.fx'

I have an xpack folder but i dont have a shaders folder inside the xpack folder.
I checked other forums and they still don't have answers, I had the error that Once you have the loading screen, it goes to black screen, then back to the desktop, I HAVE FIXED THAT PROBLEM, but i got a new one =

EDIT: MY verison of PR: BF2 is 1.1, Question should i make it 1.5 or 1.41??

You mean your BF2 version is 1.1? Have you ever installed patch 1.41 or 1.5? If not follow this guide.

Are you able to join vanilla BF2 servers or most of them are in red?

It might be wise to remove PR and reinstall it after you install these patches. Just follow order in guide.

You need PR 0.973 full installers. Get them here if you dont have them.

Yes, my verison is 1.1 for BF2, so i got to upgrade my BF2 to 1.41 THEN 1.5.

And for the vanilla servers, do you mean the one in the game "Join Internet" or like steam or something?
if it is "Join Internet" Yes, i only have 1 server online and i can join it.

I have installed the patches to, so all i need is 1.5 patch? ok Sounds easy.

EDIT: I can join internet in the regular BF2, not PR: BF2 cause i got the error

Installation order

If you do not have Battlefield 2 v1.5 installed:Depending on what version of BF2 you have, you may have to install BF2 differently. The end result will be Battlefield 2 installed, with the v1.5 patch. For the most common type of install, the retail version, you would do the following:

1. Install Battlefield 2
2. Optional: Battlefield 2: Special Forces Expansion
3. Install Battlefield 2 v1.41
4. Install Battlefield 2 v1.5

Installing Project Reality: BF2:Once you have Battlefield 2 v1.5 successfully installed and running, you can then install Project Reality: BF2. You can download the files from here.

If you already have Project Reality: BF2 v0.966 installed and running, you simply need to download and install the Client (v0.96 to v0.97 PATCH).

If you do not already have Project Reality: BF2 v0.966 installed, you need to download Client (v0.97 FULL - Part 1 of 3), Client (v0.97 FULL - Part 2 of 3) and Client (v0.97 FULL - Part 3 of 3). These are then installed in order: Part 1, then Part 2, then Part 3.

It is strongly recommended that you close all open applications when installing PR:BF2.

^ Did you read and understood that? Is your BF2 from steam? IF so look here.

If your BF2 is not original, or its pirated copy you will not be able to join any servers. Buy the game.

I dont have BF2 From steam, and it is original, which means not pirated, i bought the game from the store named Mirco Center.

But when i install BF2 v1.41 and press "Run" it doesnt show up a screen, let me try again...

Make sure you run it as admin and install all the patches as admin. Meaning right click on it and select Run as administrator.

It may be better for you to start the whole thing from beginning. Unistall it remove all traces, cleanup registry, reboot, and reinstall again, install PB and pbsvc, update it, do a test, and reboot. Run BF2 make sure you can join MP game, then proceed with installing PR.

Make sure you have NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed and that your account has full administrator privileges. Temporary disable any AV software you have as it can pickup false positives and render game unusable.

why what does NET Framework 3.5 SP1 do? and why should i disable my Anti Virus?

and yesterday i have uninstalled BF2 and reinstalled it, and now the last error has been gone, now i have the shaders error and my computer has full administrator privileges..

and ok i will run it as admin, hope it works!

EDIT: Didnt work, same error when i ran it as admin for PR: BF2... but im installing patch v1.41 right now its 90%..

Ok i have installed BF2 patch v1.41, now im going to install patch v1.5

It worked! once i installed 1.41, i went on PR: BF2 then It worked! i was so happy then it said
battlefield 2 patch v1.5 was not detected in your computer, now all i need to do is download v1.5
