and was wondering what you guys thought about the launch of a North America PRTA server.

The more PRTA the better. Imagine every server (except TG) being PRTA, oh what a wonderful image.

PRTA already have an official feedback thread. Please ensure feedback goes in that thread

I personally think that PRTA should stay in Europe. Some of the American servers that deserve to be seeded currently aren't being seeded. This extra "competition" isn't necessary. Just my two cents.

We'll have to see how it plays out, but I'd rather see a new NA server with an emphasis on teamwork. Say what you will about other servers, there is only one NA server that has solid teamwork repeatedly. The only possible issue would be that we then end up with two half full teamwork servers.

with good admins it should do well

i would apply but seems to me the admin ability is slowed down way to damn much with this junior **** i mean just let the guy be an admin if he's been playing for awhile do a vote or something we need good admins not a friggen trial period where the real admins sit around doing nothing waiting for something to happen. If they mess up just remove their admin and ban get on with it. Goes for all servers killing PR when there's not a admin on, i mean we've been playing PR for awhile pick the good players, the nice ones, the guys that always play PR correctly and give them admin

Don't play the smartass, it's not that easy. We have gone through so much trouble because we gave out simply our admin rights in PRTA. You need a bit more time to validate a possible candidate, just because someone is a good PR player, doesn't mean he has sufficient self control and sense of duty to carry out administration work.

That's the problem. All you have to do is write your name and hash and you are most likely to become and admin. How about you ask them to write a 500 word response on what they think being an admin is. If they don't meet the expectations you desire in the response, then they do not become an admin. You want to put the blame on the new admins, not yourself.

Not being a smart *** but i know what i've seen and how servers die and how they become populated, but this is just threw my eye's

You give admin to the people you know from experience playing PR that they play correctly they promote good game play, but yeah you can always take their admin away if they do something crazy right? simple, people will prob just laugh about it. 1 bad admin isn't going to kill a server just take his rights away. Now wasting time on these noobs that nobody knows and trying them out with admin is a waste of time. They are probably doing it anyways to abuse and feel powerful, and are NOT team players i see it all the time and that's why servers die. All I'm saying is pick a good player that you've played with for awhile and plays a lot, this can keep a server alive and help it grow

The difference is, I'm not making assumptions but speaking out of experience. We got bashed pretty hard in the past because of a handful of people that abused their powers (and one of them is even here in this thread). Not worth going through so much trouble, we have a few handpicked admins from our regular roster and a couple new ones that are known to be trustworthy. Also we want to offer a chance for everyone, even individuals that don't have much to do with PRTA, to become an admin.

Note: Don't worry about that, admin staff is already set and good enough to sustain the server until it gets popular, if it gets popular.
