good afternoon,

the headline is quite self explanatory, but anyway -> is there any way to set up a local training layout (remember training layout back then)?

what i need:

- very short spawn times for player and assets
- permanent availability of every asset on each map
- no restrictions regarding the usage of any asset
- high ticket count

please no coop suggestions at all. thanks in advance!

this is why i see it troubling, everything else could you do in a local server.

the tickets i wouldn't too much about tbh.

i was talking about every asset which belongs to each certain map. sorry, if that sounded a lil confusing.

the tickets are important, since when you do trainings, assets will be lost due to..uhm... training!

i really appreciate your answers, but it doesnt help me with the things im lookin for.

rcon commands help me in no way and everything below 9999 tickets is not interesting for training schemes.

please understand what i wrote in my first post and try to compare it with the possibilties of the old training mode. that sums it up quite much, i guess.

If you only play alone, you can edit the GamePlayObject files from the desired layer in the map archive. There you can edit the swawn delays of the assets.

To alter the reapon request rules and timings edit the realityconfig_local.py (?) file.

If you're just playing by yourself on local, rcon commands are going to be the easiest way to accomplish what you want.
The alternative is to go through the map auditing tutorial, go through and clone all the maps, and make edits to the spawn times ect, which takes up a lot more time and effort.

- very short spawn times for player and assets
- permanent availability of every asset on each map
Just use the rcon spawner commands.
- no restrictions regarding the usage of any asset
You can use the rcon oneman, and rcon start commands to remove restrictions.

For tickets, I dont think you'll really need it, but you can just edit your realityconfig_local.py (found in battlefield 2/mods/pr/python/game/) and under the heading

Code: Select all

# PROJECT REALITY GENERAL TICKETS
reduce the ticket penalties for all the vehicles to 0.

hey, terror!

sounds like much work. its not only for me, more like a opportunity for my community so we can do trainings.

example: one opens a local server, the others join via hamachi.

If you edit a map for the spawn times everyone have to use the same version (replacing the orignal).
Regarding joining a local server over internet: if your router forwards the proper BF2 ports and your buddies connect via entering IP-address : port then they can join even without using hamachi or something like that. Your server just don't appear in the server list but can be joined manually.
