PR freezes while gaming

So my problem is that PR freezes for half a sec while in-game. This happens especially when in urban/other gfx hard enviorement. If it happens often it can be really annoying.
It started while ago, any ideas?

Post your system specs with OS version.
Was this always happening for you, or it started recently? Any change recently to your system?

My guess is completely on any program u installed recently, that is totally making use of ur CPU, RAM (then a full memory maybe?)
So maybe some backup-software like for example "SmartWare" from WD (WesternDigital) of which the process called "WDFME.exe" (stands for "WesternDigitalFileManagementEngine") or maybe another updating program or so...

i got the same problems, but those freezes appear to pop up randomly not only in hardware stressing situations.
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506)
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250
Display Memory: 4069 MB
Dedicated Memory: 997 MB
Shared Memory: 3071 MB
playing everything on medium + AAx8

It's not the hardware, since your GTS 250 is already twice as good as my older 9600 GT (which worked and still works fine, on my older pc, got a GTX 570 by now
).

i fixed it for me. had to exclude my bf2 folder from on-access scan in my antivirus. so far no freeze again

Years ago, once/as soon as I did that, that meant the end for my GeForce 7650 GS, screen always went black after 10 min. gaming (occured 1st time on "Operation Clean Sweep", BF2), and my graphics-card had some kind of "defective contact"... Although it's hard to believe for me, that switching off my antivirus-program made a virus "burn" my graphics card or whatever... then I got my quite good 9600GT (could've gone with 9800GT, but would've needed a new power-supply then), and now got that new PC with GTX 570... ALWAYS playing WITH anti-virus turned ON!!!
