The US team spawns only at their main base, all reinforcements are flown in by helicopter.
That sounds extremely difficult. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

This rule has been clarified a little, the US team can now use Rally Points as well, but not FOBs (for spawning, FOs are allowed for use as defensive emplacements) to better simulate their ways of reinforcement & resupply.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose since you can just place it and re-arm it instantly whilst defending the FO?

How long will the rally points stay (Standard or the changed version running on PRTA now)?

Hey now don't you remember my skirmish nights? And I'd run events if I didn't have to be up at 6AM to attend it

Hehe, you're right about that dtacs. Might need changing. There's still two weeks to go.

Standard most likely.
On a different note I still need an NVA commander!

excellent event, maybe you can force every squad that makes a FOB, destroy it as soon as the build the defenses they need, hmg, foxholes, mortars, etc.

Thanks, and great idea man! "Destroy the FOB after defenses have been built" it is.

Hello everyone
I'm quite new to PR, although I am a Bf2 veteran.
This event sounds amazing, I would love to participate in this. The only issue is, that I have next to no project reality bf2 experience, as every time I try, I get massacred^^
So, I can try to participate, but
only if there are not enough people and relatively inexperienced players are allowed. If not, that's fine.

I will certainly try my best with this training. I will have to see if I can make it though, being new and all I might just get lost trying to join!
And I don't know what Xfire is, but I do have Teamspeak
-It is a requirement to use Mumble even with ts?
Thanks for the support.

Mumble is used for all communication in-game and it links you automatically to the right people (squad) so you're always in the right channel at the right time without having to go out of the game. We will not be using TeamSpeak for the event other than for administrative purposes.
And oh, the TS.PRTA.CO is temporarily down. Wait a few hours.

Ah, I understand
Okay then, I can try to train up well enough to have a clue what I'm doing when I spawn!
Thanks again, you may or may not see me there, depending on how much I understand/how **** I turn out to be trying to use all the amazing features in PR compared to Bf2.

Will we play a modified version map?
With "re-creation" of the real historic event it would be realistic if there's a A1H plane and gunship-hueys, and faster spawning trans choppers could be useful to avoid a possible fail of the US team, by lacking transport.
I guess the map has never been played with 200 players before (played it on 128 though) so we might adjust some vehicle settings to handle the mass of players (and the specific rules of the event).
