Re-think opening vBf2 building statics

Out of curiosity i re visited an old suggestion i created a while back on "opening old Bf2 building statics" to create a sort of Interior for the models.

If we looked further into this concept and found a suitable way to make a 2nd version of old bf2 buildings. That would allow the insertion of a new interior model connecting to the original models (doors, windows) and over all contours. or even to an extent Just one room like a Garage space, or an entrance staircase and bedroom.
Since it was already a suggestion back in the past i thought we could instead Discuss the possibilities of this purposeful. as stated by Rhino in the link. It would mean to create new light maps etc, Would the work of allowing the vast majority of the available statics to be enter able out weigh the want for developers and modelers to create New buildings statics with interiors.
so my questions for you are
Would project reality benefit from replacing olde Bf2 statics with updated Bf2 statics with PR created interiors?
and
Would the benefits out weigh the effort of hacking older building statics to create new interiors?
How do you feel on an ability to "ENTER" existing statics with a community created interior?
