I dont know the exact realease of the demo but from what iv'e heard it is going to be relased a few days before the actuall game will come out. I think this really suck's and most people arn't gonna be able to play ( for some reason's ).

I also think that the bf community should have more time to have a go at the demo before making any final decision's.

is there a reason for such a crazy release date?........

june 23 bf2 release date (22 shipping release).

bf2 demo release = june 10-20 ( no official date yet).

Some of the lucky ones (myself included) have had the opportunity to play BF2 at this point, and I don't know one person who has played it and is not going to buy the full retail version. Our minds are made up.

Based on that fact, there shouldn't be a worry or concern about the demo unless you are considering whether or not the game will run on your system. There's far too much information out there for you not know the answer to the "Will BF2 run on my system?" question.

The demo release to me is irrelevant. I'd just like to have something to take the edge off the BF2-withdrawls I'm going through. The shakiness. The sleepless nights. It will also serve as a means for everyone to become acclimated into the new game... it's the same gameplay, but with a different feel.

I'm pleased that EA is putting out a demo before release for the above reasons. I think it's a good thing overall.

im just glad there giving us something i dont care if the demo came out a day before the release id still d/l it and play it iv been waiting for this for almost a year

Yeah, all this waiting, and I'm going to be at Cherry Point MCAS for a week starting the 18th. That means I won't be home to play the full version!

Well, not quite official. As much as I'd love to believe it, you have to take these kinds of reports with a grain of salt until you read something come from EA/Dice directly.

I hope it's Friday, but I await direct word from EA/Dice.

Yeah, when it comes to release dates, etc. I only trust the manufacturer, but I will be getting the demo, but Im gonna be at camp for 3 weeks, so I think I'll miss the game release, oh well, I got an issue reserved at best buy, came with a free headset to I love bargins

Ah man, looks like the Demo is released on the 11th iN Australia, 10th iN America. The very weekend me and the clan are going for our annual "Team [fire] & :iCe: camp out" in Canada.

oh well, we'll have something to work off the hang-overs on

Ugly duck, I'm just like you. I'll play BF2 for a month and be like "well, this game is good, but there are a bunch of retarted parts." By then, FH or PR will have a first version out (hopefully...) and I'll never play BF2 again, except for the occasional clan scrim.

Just like 42, played FH, never played vanilla again, EVER. Hoping it'll be the same with PR.

I heard the demo will come out at 9 AM PST on Friday. That would suck, as we wouldn't be able to start the dl till we got home... oh well, maybe that auto xfire thingy will work.
