How come everyone is represented by just a circle? Even you are represented by just a circle that is no different from everyone else on your team?

If you look at the map and don't know where you are you can't tell. Unless you happen to have a attack marker somewhere for the line to show up.

If your in a squad you can narrow it down to just a few dots, or just try to pick out the dot where you think you are and move back and forth to see if the dot moves so you know its you.

Why not have the game represent yourself as say, a triangle? Could also tell what direction your facing with that too. Unless you don't want people doing that for some inexplicable reason then use a X?

One symbol for grunts, one for squad leaders and one for commanders.

Join a squad, click on your own name. Your dot should be white now. And if your squad has an order marker, there's a line coming from you towards the marker.

Ok but still why not a triangle so I can easily tell what direction I'm facing? I know there is a compass and all but it doesn't make cents to not use a different shape.

Because then it would be easy to walk around just looking at the map.

Just get used to the way that the game works and you will be rewarded. I remember playing with you on Kashan today and I would say that you seem very inexperienced with the game. Play infantry before you start running assets or you won't understand how the game works.

It's simply because of realism, you don't really pull your map up IRL and see a "triangle" spinning around where ever you're looking.
You'll get used to reading your map with time.
If you want to find out where your SL went for example, just pull your map up, find out the direction he is from you, close map and walk in that direction

The game used to have vBF2 markers, showing where you were facing, but that was removed and now we just have the amorphous dots.
