If you want to see these planes featured in Project Normandy... make a map for them .

Very cool, can't wait to play with those planes, get ready for the dogfights and the diving bombardment.

Not only the model, the texture and the animation, the sounds are really good! Nice work! This mini-mod is going far!

Map Idea: Battle of Midway
Description: Ask R-Dev Rhino to make Midway version of PR:Falklands. Lots of carriers. Lot's of ships. Lots of planes.
Result: Epic. Rename PN to Project WWII.

Natzees is Natzees.
But yeah, a carrier battle wouldn't be historically accurate, or even conceivable.
It isn't Germany that rules the waves.

Maybe a Battle of Britain map? But you would need to make new plane models soo i dont know how reasonable that would be. ..
From what i know most air cpnflicts in germany involving the US were mainly bomber escort/ ground support, not to much of the major scale air to air combat like you see in the pacific.
but i could be wrong

I'm sticking to Normandy myself only. I have this "campaign" in my head that I want to complete. Will post something about that later.
If any of you guys want to have a go at it, go ahead.

We don't have a P-47, so use the P-51 instead? Would need a reskin and perhaps different weapon layout, but that's not a problem.

I have a suggestion for a map, but I have almost no mapping experience, so I won't be able to make it.
I was thinking that a good battle to base a map on with airplanes and tanks that would be reasonable to make, is the german counter-attack on Mortain during August 1944 (Operation Luttich).
The small town with the surrounding hills will fit neatly on a 4km map with enough space on the northern and southern edges to make an airfield for each side: Google Maps.

Funny thing. I was actually thinking about a map around Avranches (west of Mortain) which could tie the campaign more together.
The campaign is like this:
- Paradrops on the Operation Overlord map
- Beach-assault on the Operation Overlord map
- Assault on Brecourt Manor
- Bloody Gulch (near Carentan)
- Road to Saint-Lo
- ...
- La Varde (near Saint-Malo, perhaps juuuust outside Normandy)
Avranches and/or Mortain would be perfect to connect Saint-Lo to La Varde.

mortain would be an interesting idea for a map , with the hills giving it a different feel, but making it 4 km would be near impossible, making hedges and the fields in a 2 km map was a piece of work i cant even imagine doing it in 4 km area

I got so tired of placing hedgerows on the Overlord map, and that's just half of the map .
4km is nice, but shouldn't make 4km because it's 4km. I think 2km is hard enough and with the limited amount of scopes and binocs, certainly is big enough. I hear people say "man, how big is this map!" on Overlord already .

2km is fine with ww2 planes.
There is no AA rockets anyway.

I noticed that the BF-109 had cannons on the wings? During D-day/invasion of normandy the BF-109 that were in use had its guns on top of the engine and cannon in the propeller if I remember right?
