my laptop has a 720 screen 1366x768 and bf/pr use all pixels but the image is stretched. How do i fix this?

Go to Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001* and open Video.con in notepad. Find 'VideoSettings.setResolution' and look just to the right of that. You'll see what kind of resolution you're running PR in. Set this to 1366x760 and you should be fine.

* depends on the profile you're using (0001, 0002, 0003 etc.).

Uh. If that's not a supported res, which I doubt it would be. It might not be fixable.

Good point. Head in-game and check what resolution that's closest to your screen's.

I've had an issue ever since I swapped out my old monitor to a new widescreen model. I also use 1366x768, which is a 16:9 ratio. While the gameplay itself works normally, all of the menus are stretched out (such as the kit selection).

I haven't found a solution to the problem myself, and since it doesn't have an effect on the resolution of the game (just menus) I try not to let it bother me much. But if someone does find a fix, I too would love to hear it.

i use 1366x768... works fine for me. its in the graphics menu, but you can enter custom resolutions in the "target" area of the shortcut's propertys using a command. so even if it wasn't a supported resolution you could use it.

1440x900 works for me. Other resolutions I get oval scopes instead of round ones, Esp on the HAT.

actually i want to fix the aspect ratio. I think its 4:3 while using 1366x768 while i want it to be 16:9 1366x768. sorry for the confusion

1366x768 can only be a ration of 16:9. The aspect ration is always a division of your resolution. 1366/768 = 1,7777 same as 16:9 = 1,7777. That means in 1 pixel of height comes 1,7 pixel in witdh . It seems that you use the wrong resolution for your monitor.

Cant you set your monitor to aspect?
