I recently re-installed pr because it was crashing while playing the game and now it will not even start anymore. The normal BF2 starts with no problem. I can even activate the pr mod through the community panel and relaunch it but when i then try to login into pr it says to change the shortcuts/ launch through the shortcuts. I think it has something to do with the target under the properties panel of the shortcut. could anybody tell me what i should put there. my screen resolution is 1366x768.

You cannot launch PR as a mod straight from the BF2 community panel. It has to start up from the pr.exe shortcut.

have you tried deleting the BF2 folder in my documents?

You must run PR through the PR.exe,
PR can NOT run through the bf2.exe.

When installing PR there is a new desktop icon created with the PR dogtags, logo on the banner logo on top left of this page, find that, run it as admin.

Of course everyone has different version of BF2, my Origin version on win7 x64 is this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"
Yours should be similar unless it's a steam version, which would put it in
\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr\ folder.

had to edit the target for the shortcut
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"
i added the +modPath mods/pr which now is not there anymore, wierd but at least if launches now.

Do you have 64bit Win7? If so launch PR as administrator, and there should no be need to add +modPath mods/pr to shortcut. Its not because of running as admin, it should just work without it.

it has that little shied on its icon which makes it ask permission to run as admin on start-up

Same thing here, i click on shortcut and nothing happens, even as admin.
Any hints??

-OS: WinVista, 32bit
-Desktop resolution: 1024x816
-Ive been playin pr on the same laptop for around 2-3 years. But i formated it recently.
-Only known Trouble while installing pr_part1: it said it needed this NET Framework thing installed in order to intall pr and
it doesnt install properly for some reason but pr installation goes to the end fine...

I need help and would like a reply as soon as possible please. I start Pr from the shortcut and it loads for a minute or two and then says "Project Reality is taking too long to respond"

the most common fix is

my documents
delete Bf2 folder
start BF2
quit BF2
start PR
Profit

the problem you are having has been aswered multiple of times try to search the forums
and making your account name PR help needed is not going to speed anything up it just looks silly
