Issue: game crashes when playing online, COOP or Deployment after about 20-40 minutes. The game freezes and the audio stutters. The computer becomes unresponsive I have to shut it down by hand.
Cause:Audio it seems to be the cause of it. Because if i disable it under device manager no longer crashes. Also another problems might be Anders Sound mod. I have it enabled, always. Have no tested if disabling that makes a difference.
Fix: Disabling Audio fixes it but i do not have sound.

Specs
CPU: intel core 2 dou t6600 @2.2Ghz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 240M 1GB
RAM: 4GB DDR3
SOUND: I do not really know because when i first bought the computer there was a realtek driver installed but after re-installing windows with a new clean copy there was no realtek driver. But under the audio pannel for PR I do see a creative-x, I am running on software. Under device manager it says High Definition Audio Device. There are 5 of thoose.

Are any other games crashing on your PC?
Go with Lowest Software settings and see if it works.
Move up from there.

Without 4GB of RAM you want to use this tutorial to allow PR.exe to use more than 2GB of RAM,
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... b-ram.html

Make sure you do the correct steps for your specific OS.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could back up your audio drivers, using something like DriverBackup:
DriverBackup! - Download
Then go to Device Manager and Uninstall ALL of your Audio drivers.
Reboot your PC, and let the New Hardware Wizard reinstall the drivers.
If anything goes wrong, start DriverBackup and restore the drivers.

I am not sure how Soundblaster Creative-X audio drivers or software would get on a PC with a onboard Realtek on the silicon. Is it one of those Creative-X software packages that are supposed to boost Audio quality? I am not sure how those interact with PR tbh.

okay i gave it 3gigs of ram. Disabling all of the audio devices seems to get rid of all the crashes.

Reinstall your soundcard drivers. Find out model and make of your mainboard and search for original set of drivers. Wipe out old ones and update with new pack. Then use software - medium in sound settings.

Eax or not it makes no difference if your sound hardware is not supporting it, and if you dont use some advanced sound system afaik.
