First off, yes I know there are several tutorials and I've done them BUT my problem with those tutorials is the quality of the terrain I get from it.

Does anyone know of a place where I can get real world data that is relatively accurate and that I can use to scale? As Im finding the quality of the info I've found already to be kinda crappy when its such a small area.

If anyone has any ideas please send em this way..

your are not going to get 2m or 4m accracy DEM data. The advantage of using DEM data is you get a pretty good base but from there, you need to clean it up manually or with a program like Geocontrol.

I used Nasa heightmaps for my map. I found they were way more detailed then the ones from google earth. But still not like you are looking for 2 to 4m. At least not for the heightmaps I used.
