Hey, anyone think they should enable support with PB like the other popular servers?

I can't play my favorite game without this sound mod... not for technical reasons but the vanilla sounds.

Please make this possible asap

EDIT: I joined the hardcore server with SM and was kicked by PB... The server crashed right after I was kicked, coincidence?

EDIT2: I joined the server again just to make sure, the server crashed shortly after. People are CTDing as well.

You don't need to lock the server for SM support.

I believe this belongs on the servers feedback page, but I could be mistaken. That certain server has been a very touchy subject, but the whole SM enabling would be server side, and I don't believe that any Mod here has anything to do with that.


(Might be COMPLETELY wrong here, but this is what I have come to think.. Might not be a good thing )

edit: you're very right btw Jimmy. Its just the pr MD5 check to allow the sound mod for players who choose it

If I recall the soundmod currently requires our server to be locked in order to utilize it, and we are not yet willing to run our main server locked. BUT we are working on a new VIP mode, we just need to fix one small item before it is ready and for that we will have a locked server, and Anders has generously showed us how to enable soundmod for that server. I also believe that future versions of PR (maybe?) will have Ander's excellent soundmod included, so there will be no need for locked servers? Edit: I am not an H server tech, so I have no idea if it is possible to use SM with a normal unlocked server...

I was told by Mineral Wouter of PRTA that the DEV team has made a special dispensation for SM

Locking the server isn't required anymore in order to run the SM. No server that runs the SM has their server PW locked, that shouldn't bother you.

Yep, talk to Anders and Bloodydeed to figure this out guys.

I don't see a reason why there needs to be a separate thread for this.
