PR class selection....

I know that there has been alot of talk about weapon class limitations and all that. And i still don't know if they'll have any type of limitations in BF2......

Which now brings me to the issue of squad's and all that. I just watched a video of a squad that was attacking the enemy, and in this squad was one medic, one assault, one engineer and so on........ now think about a squad of medics's charging down the enemy, not very smart.....

Could P.R have some sort of limitation where it force's poeple to play the empty class. So this way every squad will have one of every thing ( size of squad may vary) ...... just like america's army....

i remember reading somewhere that sqauds are limited to 6 players... isnt that a little small for a real squad?

a squad in real life consists of 8-9 soldiers i'm pretty sure.a fire is 4 to 5(5 if u include the squad leader)

TY for that. hopefully there can be bigger squads and some sort of limit so that you have a squad that is well balanced as far as classes go

Yeah hopefully squads can be altered so that they can accomodate the correct number of soldiers

the basis of ever SAS unit is the 4 man patrol, above that is the Troop which is comprised of like 4 patrols or 16 men, each troop typically has a specialty (ie free fall parachuting, scuba, mountain etc) there are like 5 or 6 troops in a Sabre Squadrom and there are 4 or 5 squadrons that comprise the SAS regiment, Delta Force is set up the exact same way as it was paterend on the SAS

im pretty sure that squads are 8-12 people. within that i think there are 4 people per fireteam.

well, whatever reality is, just make it that way. i´m confident the dev team will know what is realistic. after all, that´s why they have all the military advisors.

maybe a little off topic but since we were talking about different outfits (at least the SAS).

will the outfit change with the map? for example in 2 mpas where the US is involved would one map have a Marin Force Recon team and the next map have the SEALs or Delta Force?

thatd be interesting but tought thatd mean a bunch of different skins that would look more or less the same

true but as far as the way squads worked or how tricked out the weapons are (for elite speacops different scopes and such). just basically expanding what can be in the mod is an overall good idea

i should hope so. cus it would just look stupid if a team in desert camo is trying to win a snowy map....

what are you kiding me that would be awsome

i think the game doesnt really take place in a snowy area or i could be wrong. but also i noticed that there are two diffrent camos for china stuff and desert combat. if you notice that the tank has a darker green skin if you noticed it..or it could just be me ^^

China does have mountain areas where you could have snow in the winter, so indeed we might have a snowy map or two...
