Hearing rumors from several sources that Gamespot will have a 24-Hour Exclusive period of having the BF2 Demo Files before it comes out for everyone else. But in order to Download it from Gamespot, you have to make an Account which will cost $6.99.... So, it MAY come out later on Tonight for only people with Gamespot accounts, everyone else will get it this Friday.

Right, and rumors aren't worth much.

The best rule of thumb is to wait to hear from EA/Dice. I'd refrain from posting anything else you see or hear because it only results in fallen expectations. And I know a few here who can't take anymore of them

The part of Gamespot having the Demo in Advance before anyone else though is not a Rumour. Just so you guys know.

yeah im gunna find it pretty hard to get outside this summer with BF2 coming out along with PR and FH2 a little later.

according to an ea official who participated on the total bf2 ts event the demo is going to be released on friday.(he may have ment sat as im on ak time and others were already on friday but hey). and the demo is about 600 mb

The only official word is that EA is "confident" that the demo will be released this weekend, per Ben Smith. I wouldn't listen to anything else at this point.

please let it be soon. i just can't wait. if only they would just give us a final date which we could count on. that would make the waiting a lot less agonising.
