I just read that. so i guess we can get out hands on the demo soon. and if Gamespot is having an exclusive right for the download i guess they better hurry! now the question is it this thursday or ...

I have one. The only problem is that i dont have a place to upload the file. But im pretty sure that people will be able to downlaod it fast after the release. what puzzels me is that Gamespot had talked about eclusive launch of the demo and now it looks like fileplanet is doing it. I just wonder what is going on

i was up till 2am last night trying to see if Gamespot was really gonna get it early and id didnt seem like they did if they did it like FBI type hush hush i heard or saw nothing to suggest they had actually released it to anyone

Yeah me to and I got a gamespot complete account and not a word not even a whisper.. i think ts a fake. I think both Fileplanet and Gamepot will release it at th esame time ( and maybe other sites) I think the exclusive right is just a way to get people to sign up for an account. Shouldent surprice me...

I wouldn't worry too much about the Gamespot exclusive as someone will download it and put up a torrent for everyone else. Fileplanet and everyone else will host it the next day... so there's not much to be concerned about.

Those who are employed, better start developing a cough today. Walk around the work place with a blank look on your face. Sniffle a little. Then announce you aren't feeling well. Being prepared is key to any solider.

No need for coughing here either. Next week´s test week. Two test every day, and rest of the day off to ´study´. Most of them are reading tests anyway. Easy stuff. Whole days playing BF2!!!!! And after next week it´s holiday. 9 whole weeks of BF2

sounds great ! ill end my curent job the 17th this month.. so i guess ill have a couple of days before ill find another job

Although Battlefield 2 won't invade stores until June 21, PC gamers will get a chance to test-fire a demo of Electronic Arts' shooter sooner. EA confirmed today that it is planning to release a sample of Digital Illusions CE's forthcoming modern-combat shooter "very soon." When the Battlefield 2 demo is released, it will make its world premiere on GameSpot, and will be initially available not only to GameSpot registered users, but also to unregistered visitors as well.


The Battlefield 2 demo premiere is a part of the buildup to the upcoming release of GameCenter. The GameCenter sneak peek release for GameSpot Complete subscribers is also forthcoming, and the full version of Battlefield 2 will be one of the top multiplayer games supported in GameSpot's upcoming premium gaming service. The demo will feature three variations of the Gulf of Oman map from Battlefield 2, which is set in a near-future conflict between three clashing powers: The United States, China, and the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition (MEC). The single-player, 16-player, and 32-player versions of the map included in the demo will pit the US against the MEC in time-limit-based combat. (China is not playable in the demo.)

However, the demo will not include any additional maps or other features found in the retail version of Battlefield 2. Besides the Chinese forces, the full BF2 will feature 30 vehicles and 20 soldier kits from all three sides. It will also sport a total of 12 maps, each available for 16, 32, and 64 players. Online play will be enhanced with voice-over IP and persistent character scoring, while the new battlefield commander mode will give players a tactical edge on the, er, battlefield.

While waiting for the Battlefield 2 demo's debut, gamers can check out GameSpot's new Hands-On Impressions from a near-final build of the game.



Just saw it and wanted to give people the heads up!

so basically all you can do in the demo is play people and nothing else ....AWESOME .......

will you be able to register your accound with the demo.... can you still play single/multi player with out one ???????

I think that you will be able to play all the aspects of the demo with out having to register. simply download, install and play (singel/multi). But we will all know in short time. Fingers crossed.

ps. i should say that I think the ranking and player stats is not in the demo.

aaaahhh i just want the regular game! partly because its release coincides with the begining of my summer vacation

Just goes to show to what lengths people will go to get their hands on this game before anyone else... But then it also goes to show that corps. pick the time and place of their choosing to let people have the goods
