I've been playing PR since 2008 and I've noticed what seems to be a decline in the quality of players over the last year or so. By "quality of player" I'm not referring to how good they are at the game, I mean basic things like at least trying to use teamwork, not being an asshat, and so on. I really don't take the game too seriously, so a noob accidentally killing a full friendly APC with a HAT and being apologetic afterwards doesn't bother me compared to a random guy stealing your SPG tech while you're rearming and then telling you to screw off when you ask for it back. Tonight I was cycling the sniper kit of a guy I had previously squadded up and played with with when he got killed, and subsequently got TK'ed and raged at in mumble for "stealing" his kit. I explained that I was cycling it, not stealing it, and didn't even get an "oops sorry" or anything. I can't remember who it was, but this specific incident isn't the point of the thread anyways, just an example... the point is that stuff like this is almost common place now, when it seriously didn't seem to be that way until recently.

Anyways, I'm curious if anyone else is seeing the same trend, or if maybe I'm just noticing it now that I'm thinking about it.

These players always existed, but you were playing on servers where they werent. Now those servers are gone, and the servers they liked are gone too so all players play together in one or two servers.

Well if you have those problems then remember that you can allways report that player to all the admins that are curently online. i.e. for that TK for sniper kit you could just do "!r (nickname) TK me to get a sniper kit, insulting me on mumble". Remmember that almost allways there is a person "watching" you and making sure your gaming experience will be as great as possible

Did you somehow miss the million other threads about this very specific topic? Oh right, they got closed. Yes I fully agree with you, still no need for another one of those threads.

Closed for reasons stated above, we've been through this a hundred times.

Someone should ask the folks that hosted T&T or TB or iGi to give it a shot again now that TG's gone... But oh well.^^
