Using programs from second drive

Recently, my computer's motherboard stopped working. I have 2 hard drives, one of which was empty and one had Windows Vista and all of my programs. Now, the one that was empty has Windows 7 and its the primary one being used.

Can I use the programs I have in my drive that does not have Windows 7? I can access all the files, but when I try to run a game from the second drive it says it's not installed and I should try reinstalling.

Not usually.

You have to investigate this, but there is only one surefire solution that I know of, PCMover3 Pro, which costs about ~US$70 .

Laplink? Software - PCmover - Automatically move PC applications to a new computer

It is possible to do it using scripting language, but it's above my level of expertise to switch between different OS.

It's mostly just registry entries that would be stopping you, as far as I know. If you'd backed up your Vista registry and copied over the relative HKEY values for the various games and edited the paths to be correct, it should work.
