damn it, half of the times i load a map the following happens:
it loads it all, it loads the damn verifying client data and when it was supposed to pop up the Join Game button for me to join, it goes back to the servers list with a pop-up saying "Your connection to the server has been lost"

what is it? it happened all the times i tried to join Greasy Mullet, one time now on sunset city on a brazilian server which i ping perfectly and on Mao Valley, which is an old map, on an American server

i think it is not a map problem neither a server connection problem, really. this problem follows this pattern and it happens on servers i ping nice too!

It works fine for me. But a friend of mine (Barendz here on the forum) has exactly the same problem. So at least you're not alone...

He figured the problem only occurs when there are more than about 10 players in a game. So when he tries to join a game where > 10 players are already playing, he gets disconnected when he presses "Join Game", just like you. But when he joins a game with < 10 players, everything works fine, even when 50 more people join the game after he joined. Once he's joined, he can play on full servers for hours without a problem.

my problem is different, the JOIN GAME button doesnt pop up, i dont even have the chance to click on it, it disconnects on the very moment the JOIN GAME button was supposed to show up!

is it on the same servers every time or does it, like Pipo described, occure on servers that are filled? I dont know if I get disconnected if I dont press join game, Ill test it this evening

from 6 times i tried to join GH West yesterday, 4 times this problem occured. i was able to play on the other 2 times though, but it is a ***** to load all the map and get "Your connection blablaba"

Yeah happened to me 3-4 times yesteray (was trying to join Thors but they crashed ?)

is there a sticky on this problem yet including basic methods to reduce the problem?

I have found that if it occurs to me, if I drop to desktop and open task manager and start killing all pre-loaded software and ensure no audio/video programs are running in the background that i can then connect to games.

im really really pissed off, it takes 5min to load the maps here and this problem occurs
occured 6 times with me now, really pissed off, WTF is going on?

Yip, as soon as i click on join game/before i get to click on join game it says disconnected...this only happens sometimes but it does happen quite often still!

IT TAKES 5 MINUTES TO LOAD SUNSET CITY HERE.. TRIED NOW 2 TIMES... the problem occured the 2 times

I'm not quite sure if this will work
When I was having such problem it was bad-PB's fault. Try doing this:

Go to Your Doccuments\Battlefield 2\Cache ; Delete whatever is inside
Go to Your Doccuments\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2; delete whatever is inside this or any other folder like for example "xpak" or "PR"
Go to Your Doccuments\Battlefield 2\logocache\ delete everything

go to windows\temp and delete everything

Worked for me

i will give this thread some feedback after a week of playing and no problems or the first time the problem happens again

i know i get this problem FAR FAR FAR too often it annoys me to no end! I'm glad to see that at least im not hte only one having this problem.

Yeah like Riki said, it pisses me hardcorely

We were looking to bring this mod in our AFNation.com community but 5 people loaded the mod and are getting the exact same problem. Also some of the servers are running maps that did not download with the mod files.

We all downloaded from fileplanet.

Please let us know in our forums when you guys get this figured out- we are interested in checking it out. But if all the new players are going to experience this, we cant use your mod.
