It must only work in Singleplayer, wouldn't surprise me.

Awesome, AD told that is possible to do an Area Attack in which we can see some planes strafing and dropping bombs, now we only need the code.

Why you should see the JDAM? :D

I am sooo sure that irl the F-15 for example can drop JDAM precisely on a place of 5m? from an altitude you can not even see, doubting even you could HEAR the jet passing by... ;) 8)

well you should still be able to see it on a clear day, unless its somewhat cloudy

You probably wouldn't see it if you're just standing around doing a drug deal or whatever.

Yeah its really hard to see small jets when they're way up high. On a clear day a grey coloured plane is hard to spot on a blue sky, especially when if its moving fast.
Unless you're looking for it you probably wont notice it until its gone overhead and you can finally hear its engines.

Here : Airplanes in Normandy

I'm unsure if there will be any jets on PN maps, if no, we'll still be able to see it.

there are a lot of factors that go into what altitude the plane is at so its impossible to generalize

but for the sake of the argument I think an A10 would be awesome to see since it flies fairly low and is visible during engagements

I got to see how they work a couple month ago

I was the fake "target",it was an awesome thing to see/hear :)

What about a strafe of a low flying Thunderbolt II Warthog special support power for the US? ;)

... and you are finally dead. -.- xD (Since the bomb impacted already as soon as you would be able to hear the engines, I am sure...)

I am soooo sure that for example an F-117 Nighthawk would fly soooo f***n' high (~ 15 km) and drop it's GBUs that you couldn't even see it... ;) 8)

Planes are a ***** to spot under some circumstances, even at clear sky and flying low. I was with my girlfriend, observing a somewhat low flying glider, with sun being quite high. It was white and at some point it completely "dissapeared". Couldnt find him again afterwards.

Of course it would look totally bad-*** to actually see the plane, but would have to fly very high :p .

Code it, I'm sure there's examples on bfeditor.org :) .

I can't believe, I found it.

Creating Unmanned Airstrike

Now AD need to change the jet to the WW2 Airplanes that he got and change from only bombs to Machine Guns too, it'll be awesome...

i highly doubt a b52 would fly that low for an airstrike. lol

if something like this were to be incorporated into PR (which i would be in favor of), would the jet fly in the same spot regardless of position of airstrike??

this could be compensated visually by having it fly really high (which is what it would do irl anyway) across the middle of the map/

jets can drop bombs at visible altitudes it realy depends on the terrain and enemy weapons

look at the Falklands conflict for example:

the argies would swoop really low to avoid radar detection and AA to attack British ships

I also support the A10/Su25 CAS option :)
