Hello dear community .
i playing pr from the beggining of this mod . And i think this mod is made BATTLEFIELD exatly what is soppose to be .
And after years of awsome gameplay i notice that the starting to die .
i mean : no more major forum activity , no more events even the nombers of players are low .
Its a shame that this mod is bleeding .
And i think it becouse of the over realism that this mod doing .
first of all . in the early realises there was very butiefull maps full of colors and just fun to play on tham , i mean the mappers doing great work on maps it just they are all grey or yellow shadow with not that good looking textures . I realise that this mod about real places and real armyes . But i think the reasone we play is the people , teamwork and awsome gameplay .
And if the old maps make there way back to PR‏ ‏‎ it will refrese the community and players eyes and maplist .
Becouse no mater how much mod will be awsome it will get boring play same 10 maps over and over ( i know there more servers just rarely play them) .
Second thing that i think need fix is rally points , back then it was so fun to make rallys without timelimit , so u can go to battle with out affraid that if u die you will have to walk 10 min to the squad , That just most of the time squad not playing toghether becouse lack of transports .
IN my oppunion we should lurn from release 0.5 that had perfect mix bitween fun and realism .

thanks for ur time
and sorry for bad english ‎

Things will get back to the way they used to be once 1.0 or whatever the next release will be.

Isn't the whole point in working as a team than rather going rambo because you know that you can respawn around the corner. And lack of transport is really just your lack of coordination, there's enough of transport on every map, it's down to the players to use it wisely.
i mean : no more major forum activity , no more events even the nombers of players are low .
Its a shame that this mod is bleeding .
Project Reality - PRSPY - Server and player browser and tracker - Create a buddy list - Launch PR directly 2 almost full and one half full servers and it's monday, most people are working. Don't really need anymore servers since most players stay to one specific server and you can see the same guys pretty much daily. The forums are pretty active, atleast the offtopic section, there's regural updates on pretty much everything else.

Everything is going the way it was as long as I can remember, new release > plenty of players, bug reports > dies down because of some random reason and/or gets booring > repeat, it's been like that with every release I remember.

I think its simplier than that, BF2 is a 7 years old game. The fact that PR its still the most populated mod for BF2 pretty much speaks for itself. When you mention "realism" I think you are talking more about slow-paced gameplay, and in my opinion PR pretty much have the same "realism" level it had in previous versions when the player numbers were higher, so I dont think its because of that. IMO no matter what the devs do the player numbers are not going to go back to the numbers of the glory days.

If you like simplistic gameplay where you don't have to consider staying alive much at all, you probably don't like the direction PR seems to be going in. Personally for me it's pretty much just the right balance between fun and realism (relatively slower paced gameplay) at the moment. I like a challenge.

Thats the point PR has a good value of life balance. For me it could be more realistic in way you can respawn so only base and view times on a fob or a rally point.

The Dev's have been pretty clear and consistent in their vision for the mod - each release bringing more immersion to the game. I think we need to have faith with their direction and trust they know what they are doing is on balance the best thing to move us forward.

As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball, but tonight I say, we must move forward, not backward, upward not forward, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.

Anyhows.. Welcome to the forums sergei_91 - glad you finally decided to express your opinion - your English is fine.

These threads do get a little tiresome in the regularity that they seem to appear....but meh....

No offense, but i really think this thread is pointless and useless...
can you do a better job? do you see anyone else complaining? do you really think that this thread is going to change the fact that YOU are not enjoying the mod as you used to?

Get real. thank the devs and play the game. afterall it is free.

You should have a look at, say, Shija Valley. ;)

I'm so tired of these pointless threads
*in before lock*
I've been playing PR for over 5 years now
and at the end of every release cycle its always
"PR IS DYING WAHHHHHH WE NEED MOAR STUFF"
And then an update comes out, players come back, and the cycle starts over again
Do you not see like... how many threads there are about this? seriously.
I think another level needs to be added to the PR release alert level
"PR IS DYING" right after where is next update
