happens when I try to login to PR

Working off a very fresh install of PR and BF2 both updated

I googled, So I checked my firewall and exception list, I can log into BF2 fine.

I just fixed my PnkbstrB.exe problem and this problem poped up

If its not one its another

any ideas?

It's really late, I'll help out later today,

What version of BF2 do you own?
Steam, EA Origin, Retail CD, etc?

Are you using a firewall? which?
antivirus? which?

What router are you using? Make and model?
Wired or wireless internet connection?
Slowly dieing routers can cause this problem, not saying it's THE cause of your problem, just a mention of possibility.

Did you play 6 rounds of vanilla BF2 or 6 rounds of PR?

Poor Mustard20048 has gone through trial by fire in his first day on the PR forums,

Mustard20048, there isn't much else that can go wrong that hasn't already happened to you, I think you'll see smooth sailing going forward in your PR gameplaying

regards,

Yeah I'm on windows 7 and finally just got done installing everything so I can play online. I love the single player. But those damn bots.. Anyway it keeps telling me the server is refusing the connection as well. Hopefully there will be a solution to this soon. I saw the gamespy post. But I'm new here and am freaking out because I want to play it. Huge fan of this mod. Just found it about 3 days ago. I can't wait to play it online. Thanks!!!

I just took my steam BF2 collection and transferred it to origin, which is what I used this install. and I unchecked install PB and I installed PB from their site fresh which is what made PnkBstrB.exe work finally

I use windows firewall, it is off but with added exception to BF2 and PR .exe PB ETC

I dont know what router, I use my neighbors wireless with his permission.. I know for sure he has a 80mb service with a modem that cant handle it (what comcast said) and using a linksys wireless router.... everything runs smooth on the web

i played regular BF2 (why do ppl call it vanilla? :P )

thanks for the replys, looks like gamespy

so gamespy runs the servers?why where there people in CIA Kokan when this was happening to me? just bad luck?

Thats good news to me, with over 10 hours trouble shooting with my PnkBstrB.exe problems over a span of a week Ive been getting frustrated.

That is also what I read on google forums about this problem, But i wanted to ask because like I said before there was 50/64 ppl in Kokan and the BF2 server I was playing was full so *shrugs*

Thank you guys, Tomorrow is another day

I was on CIA. The server started emptying for possibly the login problem among other reasons, but probably didn't repopulate for the fact you couldn't login,I also learned about that problem when I was on there. The server lost all but a dozen or so people when it switched map from 2 or 3 dozen before it switched,we all had knife/boxing going on till it was me and 1 afk guy then I left around 15 minutes ago. Tried logging in, can't either, so it's not just you. Hopefully this gets back to normal, some people thought bf2 multiplayer got nuked lol. I was logged in around 5-6 hours ago so people who logged in before the servers went down stayed logged in probably. EDIT: When I say the server lost people, I mean they left as far as I know, not forcefully d/c or ctd. Just clarifying.

Nice. I like that. But I have to work in 5 hours. I have been trying to wait it out as long as possible. Might have to wait until tomorrow night. Oh noooo. Can't wait.
