Driver issue

Relevant specs:
i3 2100k @ 3.0ghz
GTX 560ti 1GB VRAM
8GB RAM
Issue: Was on graphics card driver version 285.62, received over 60fps on average playing Pr on max settings. However, 285.62 wasnt very stable and decided it liked to crash often. Upgraded to version 306.23, which crashes less, but gives around.. 18 frames per second playing PR. Just regressed down to 285.62 again, and PR runs like a dream, can record with fraps at a stable 50FPS even
Any way I can use the stable updated drivers and actually play this game?
