alright ive teased you for long enough...

right to pics.

Started out like:


Then i started adding some minor detail








Moved on to the rotating base thingy:

Good effort mate keep at it.

Two main things to keep in mind;
Tight edges, right now your edges are overly tight, i.e the edge looks like a 90degree angle, it is a bit strange to get your head around to model something that is slightly unrealistic in shape (a much smoother curve) but right now it wont bake well.
Second, you have some pinching, this is usually got rid of by using more geometry and support loops although it hard to say right now what is causing it without a wireframe.

Either way, keep it up

Not sure how you can work like that, I would personally block out all the main parts first so you can get an idea of how big everything is and what needs to go where etc then add all the detail in, instead of going right into the detail but everyone has their own way I guess

ZU-23-2 will be much more senceful.

but ZU-23-2 used by Russian,Finnish,China forces.Many middle east and african countries uses it.
Russian wiki have a big list of them.And Syria got around 450-600 units of them at 2007 year.

Do whatever you want,telling,why it's much more senceful,that ZPU-1.

You are right, only AFAIK we dont have a car like that to put the ZPU 2 on. I saw somebody modeling it, but im not sure if he is still working on it.

Out of curiosity, why are you calling it ZU, and we call it ZPU?

ZU - Zenitnaya Ustanovka(Anti-air gun unit)
ZPU - Zenitno-Pulemetnaya Ustanovka.(Anti-Air machinegun unit)

Zenitnaya means Anti-Air
Pulemet means machinegun
Ustanovka means... well idk how to translate right.Unit or Station.

And I found another your fail in your photo.This is not ZPU-1.This is .50cal NSV machinegun,mounted on anti-air tripod.

And you may put ZU-23 on Toyota Hulix(Current insurgent car)

Samogon we will make the zpu 2 but we dont really have a vehicle to put it on. In thr meantime zpu4 with reduced rof will serve as a PH for it.

Not true. ZPU 1 Uses KPV 14,5 machinegun, which is also the case on above picture, as the gun on it looks identical to these two
