Yeah I got this error too, tried this

Still doesn't work, can anyone help out? Running BF2 on steam. Though I've installed Vietnam in the past with the same error, I can't quite remember how I fixed it.

Ah, I installed the 64 bit one instead of the 32 bit file. Thought I was running 64 bit. Shows what I know

I did say to AM he should fix the installer so you can opt past this error but he didn't have the time
