hello
Doc.pock has been modelling a runway for my map vung ro and he sent me a wip staticmesh so I can place it on my map and work around it, however the folder is not appearing in the object list in the editor, it happens for me and for doc.pock too, and no one can see anything wrong with the model,

here is the folder in question:
rodrigoma.zip

if someone could solve this mistery I would be very grateful :-P

I'm not an expert on this , but it has no tweak file, which it is searching for threw the .con file. That might be the reason?

Make sure it's not the staticmesh file; copy a staticmesh from another object and rename that to "runway.staticmesh" (save the original runway.staticmesh somewhere of course). Then load the editor, see if that shows up.

You've named it the same as the runway spline.

Try renaming it (I used runway_extra) and it should work . Don't forget to rename the meshes and all references to it in the .con file.

You don't need a .tweak file.

- Rename runway.staticmesh to runway_whatever.staticmesh.
- Rename runway.con to runway_whatever.con
- Inside runway_whatever.con, rename "runway" to "runway_whatever"

That's it.

(and you can drop the runway.tweak file for now)

You really should look for a much better file name and folder dir than what you have. Also these should technically be exported to the roads folder but for now it can be exported to the statics just for Rodrgoma to use. Also don't use someones name as the main dir...

For Camp Bastion I have quite simply: \objects\roads\staticsnoblend\pr\airbases\camp_bastion\

You should also export to this airbase folder and name the "runway" / airbase after something reliant to the map at the very least unless its a generic airbase.
AfterDune;1823357']- Rename runway.staticmesh to runway_whatever.staticmesh.
- Rename runway.con to runway_whatever.con
- Inside runway_whatever.con, rename "runway" to "runway_whatever"

That's it.

(and you can drop the runway.tweak file for now)
Simplest just to have it exported again into the correct name and folder.

you probably haven't renamed everything.
